Chapter 21 by TheUnfathomable TheUnfathomable

What shall you command her to do first?

Still no dick, so nothing yet.

As much as you would love to start using your newfound power, two things hold you back. First, was that you had promised not to **** her entering into your lair, which you do feel like forcing her to do things would violate. The second was of course your lack of anything you could actually make her do.

You take a moment to lament your limitations as a skeleton. The gods must have really hated you, making you unable to speak, taste, sleep, or have the explicit tag. You swear to yourself that you will do everything you can in order to evolve, whatever it takes.

After your self-motivational speech, you notice that you have a pending notification on your menu. You wonder what it is, as you don't expect it to be caused by Sahara, that seemed complete. With a shrug, you select it to see what the message is about.

Feature Slot Unlocked (x2)
Room has been restored sufficiently for a feature
Please access the build menu and construct a feature for this location.

Oh, that made sense you suppose. You had been away for a decent amount of time, and looking over the area across from your first feature was now fully cleared out. That did make you wonder, where was the second feature supposed to go?

Regardless, it could wait for a moment while you decided what to do with the first one.

Feature List: (Small, Hall)
Living Statue Trap: Lacking Construct Core (level 10)
Fountain Statue: Possible
Puzzle: Lacking Puzzle Mechanism
Sandstone Chest: Possible
Sandstone Sarcophagus: Possible
Shrine of the Ancient: Possible
Forgotten Spirit Shrine: Lacking Eastern Wood, Lacking Spirit Token (Uncommon)
Effigy of the Sand Mother: Possible
Armor Stand: Possible
...

You blinked at few time at the list. There were a lot of new options to choose from. All of the new options sounded interesting, though you had no use whatsoever for an armor stand. You did have to wonder though, why did you suddenly have new options?

For the first time in possibly forever, the system answered a question as you notice a little star you can click next to them.

Shrine of the Ancient:(SystemID_BearerofBlackFlame=True)
Forgotten Spirit Shrine:(SystemID_WielderofWhiteFrost=True)
Effigy of the Sand Mother:(Number of Fennicfolk in dungeon is = or > 1)
Armor Stand:(Dungeon has acquired Treasure)

Huh, well you suppose the last two made sense. The first two were written in a quite confusing manner, but you guess that they showed up when the whole Twinsoul thing happened. That made the most sense at least, as they both do have the names of the new abilities in them.

With that list in mind, you felt like there was only one option. With the whole Twinsoul thing, it felt wrong to build one when you couldn't build the other. And, due to your previously mentioned lack of use for an armor stand, you decide to once again build something for Sahara.

Selecting it in the menu, you got a quite familiar message in front of you.

Building materials detected. Building: Effigy of the Sand Mother. Build?

You select the affirmative once again, and hear a slight thump behind you as the materials are placed upon the location in question. Spinning around, you see a somewhat surprising sight. The figure seemed to be Fennicfolk for the most part, however some of her basic traits were different. She had more tails, as well as you could see from shading that an intricate pattern was in her fur.

You walked over and reached out in curiosity, another message appearing when you touched it once again.

Applicable skill, +15%. No Tools, -50%. Dexterity Bonus, +100%. Total build speed: 115%

You look up to see the bar fill, but it isn't much of a difference from last time. If anything, it filled up slightly less space. You lower your head and shake it in a bit of defeat. Even though you got better, the amount of work in front of you would continue to rise.

Your pity party is interrupted by a message appearing before you eyes.

Non-applicable skill, -80%. No Tools, -50%. Dexterity Bonus, +60%. Total build speed: 16%

You hear Sahara speak from beside you, "Hey! Why did it go up way less for me?" You look to her quizzically and she gives a light chuckle in response, still a bit flushed from your talk earlier. "I uh, I couldn't see the progress last time, so I thought you were just getting some anger out on a ghost or something until it was suddenly done." She gave an apologetic look as she finished.

You give a shrug and nod a few times, that conclusion does make sense with the very little information she has, and heck, the information you had just before. As you turn, once again inspired to continue through the long hall thanks to help, another message shows up.

Non-applicable skill, -80%. No Tools, -50%. Dexterity Bonus, -90%. Total build speed: 1%

You look down at your feet, seeing the little beetle tapping its foot on the base of the blueprint. You give it a slight rubbing pet to thank it, before cracking your knuckles and digging in for a long workday. You had help, but you still had work to do.

As the bar slowly filled, you began to think to yourself. You don't believe you have heard of the Sand Mother before, so that is something you should probably ask Sahara about later. On that note, you actually didn't know much about her people, as the little that adventurers talked about was near never culture or history.

As you resolved to ask her and readied yourself for some lectures in the future, the bar at last filled and you got so see the finished product.

How does it look?
