What's next?

Daphne dives into gossip

After Daphne had watched, Fred sped off with a look of fear, which wasn't surprising all things considered. She probably would be panicking too if someone at the center of your own personal hate group suddenly decided to meet you alone in the parking lot.

Which now, as she walks to the other girls to find out the latest gossip on Fred to make a plan going forward, probably isn't going to help her make a better impression on Fred. She probably just gave more credibility to his fears that she's out to get him.

This gave her a bout of sudden depression, but she got it together as she met up with the other popular girls as they made their way home, making a bee line for Gigi specifically. Gigi always seemed to know the latest rumors traveling the school.

Gigi was a black woman with beautiful black hair that went down to her waist. She was wearing an orange shirt with a matching orange short skirt and high heels. At one point she used to wear some weird emo discount outfits due to influence from Velma; luckily that was just a phase as she got over it and went back to dressing like a normal pretty girl again.

"Hey Gigi. Hows it going?" Daphne asked in a loud voice, running the last few steps to catch up as the group turned a corner. The group turned around, saw it was Daphne, and slowed down a little to make it easier for her to join up before Gigi answered.

"The usual Daphne is pretty and popular. How about you?" Gigi answered as they all slowly walked home since they all lived within walking distance from the school. Daphne took a moment to think about her answer, trying to be careful just in case she cased something for Fred she was trying to avoid.

"The same though, I was wondering what was up with Fred these days." Daphne asked, trying to be as careful as possible with her line of questioning lest she end up creating a rumor by accident that could make things worse for Fred at school.

"Really you wondering about Fred? Weird, but alright, I guess his mom did lock you up, and your girlfriend's mom is living with him." Gigi said out loud, explaining it to herself and to those around her. As she was figuring out the sudden interest.

"Well, the latest I've heard is the Jones house is doing better than ever. Apparently Fred's mom was too butch to give the place the woman's touch needed." Gigi said, giving Daphne a look into Fred's home life and putting a bit of damper on her chances because she wasn't exactly the picture of feminine grace either.

"Oh, really, was there anything else?" Daphne asked, hoping that there was something else that might improve her chances. This **** need for good news was causing her to forget to be careful about how she asked about Fred. Luckily for her, Gigi just checked up to want to know more about the guy her girlfriend's mom was living with.

"Well, I haven't found anything else interesting about Fred. He seems to mostly be focused on improving his grades, and he really hasn't done anything to cause anyone to really care what his up to be these days. The only reason people notice his studying hard is he's still considered one of the hottest guys in school," Gigi told Daphne, causing her to think on that for a moment.

The sad part was she really couldn't tell. Well, she may have been smitten with Fred emotionally; she wasn't physically; in fact, she found the popular girls she was currently walking home with far more attractive than Fred, though she did have to thank him for that. For if it wasn't for her new love for him, she would have never seen Velma as the ugly bitch she is.

The problem she saw with the last little bit of information that Gigi gave her is that Fred didn't seem to have any kind of friends. Well, it was great to hear that his home life had improved; it seemed his school life hadn't, and as she thought about Fred, she had never really had any friends, admirers, sure friends, no.

So maybe that was her in that she could be a lesbian friend to him like gay people are friends to girls usually, but how to get the ball rolling on that? Those were Daphne's thoughts as the popular girls broke up and separated, each going to their own home, with Daphne walking up her driveway.

It would be easy to bond over shared interests; just get a few of the other popular girls to pose in risky photos. Not something they haven't done hundreds of times before and share them between the two of them to comment on together. The true problem comes from how to get the conversation started without Fred thinking it's some kind of trap.

As Daphne walked in the front door and past the living room, passing her two lesbian cop moms, not noticing their hellos, she quickly went to her room and shut the door behind her as she threw herself on the bed, quickly pulling out her phone and using a notepad app to strategize how to go after Fred.

Daphne's moms looked at each other for a moment, wondering what that was about, before shrugging to each other, both mouthing the word teenager, before going back to what they were doing, figuring they would bring it up at dinner later.

How does dinner go?
