Escape into the woods

You weren’t willing to go back into that cage. This was your best chance of escape so far, and you weren’t going to waste it by waiting around.

Grabbing Blue by the hand, you quickly led them into the woods. Despite their seemingly inexperience of having to move with two legs, they were able to easily keep up, as you two disappeared into the night.

While you were in the cage, you had figured out which direction you were taken when they first captured you. So, using the setting sun as a guide, you were certain that you were on the path home.

Your plan was to make as much distance as possible before they discovered that you were gone. Then, you would use the darkness of the night to evade their patrols, before making it back to town. Judging by how long the travel was to bring you to their camp, you weren’t that far from town, but even if you weren’t slowed down by avoiding their patrols, you wouldn’t be able to reach the town's gate before dark.

After some time, with an impressive distance covered, your running was interrupted as Blue suddenly pulled you to the ground. You let out a gasp as you tried and used your arms to soften your fall. Turning to face Blue, you were confused as to why they would do that, but their only response was a worried look, as they pointed off to the side. After a moment of confusion, you realized what they meant.

Dark elves.

You hadn’t seen them yet, but a chill down your spine confirmed what it was. Looking around, you tried to find anything to hide under. Unfortunately, there was nothing near you besides a hollowed log, which looked just barely big enough to fit both you and the dark elf whom Blue possessed inside.

Pulling Blue tightly against your chest, you quickly started to crawl inside the log. It was a tight fit, and it took a little longer than you had hoped, but both your slender bodies were finally able to fit inside, just barely being hidden within the fallen tree. Now, as the two of you tried to keep as quiet as possible, only your and Blue's tired breathing, echoing within your shared hiding place, could be heard.

As the two of you waited, you hoped that you would hear some sort of noise to confirm where your pursuers were. The idea of hiding in this log for over an hour when you didn’t need to hide at all annoyed you.

But, as the time passed, you began to realize who you were here with, Blue, controlling the body of a girl who was your age and very attractive, and as you laid here with ‘her’, tightly pressed against each other, you started to feel a little hot under your clothes.

Right now, Blue had her head pressed to your chest, her ear against your now quickening heart. Your arms wrapped around her back, just resting above her butt. Your legs, in the haste to get inside the log, were now gently wrapped around hers. You were like two lovers, embracing each other one last time, only each other's body for company and both of your soft breathing for music, as you spent the night together.

This felt nice, just holding someone for a while, after the hours you spent in the dark elves captivity, being thrown around without a care for your safety, now holding someone, even if it was Blue possessing the body of one of those very same dark elves, felt nice. Maybe when you get back to town, you could even tell your family about Blue, and maybe even find her a body to stay in. Maybe she could stay in this one, wherever it was found.

Almost like a hammer striking an anvil, you were quickly brought back to reality as you heard a small rock falling against your log hideaway. It didn’t make much noise, but as it echoed around your ears, you knew what it was from. You heard someone take a step, and then another, as they seemed to get closer to you.

Your heart raced with each step, and as you heard them pause right next you, you felt that you might be found out at any moment.
