Coffee and Social Media

The two Rookie Superheroes had found a near by coffee shop, ordered their drinks, started charging their phones (Jessica, and thus GG, were doing their best to resist checking for new messages constantly), and were currently sitting close together in what passed for a private corner.

Mercury has an arm around GG's shoulder, his smiling face right next to hers, and says "Smile for the Camera GG!" She smiles as Mercury gets ready to take a picture with a "burner" phone. She hears the familiar click sound and sees a quick flash as he takes a picture. She is curious about the why of the picture, when he takes the opportunity to kiss her on the lips...

A kiss which she finds herself returning with far too much enthusiasm considering that they are sitting in a corner of a public coffee store. For the moment though, Golden Girl forgets all about that, moaning loudly into his mouth as she returns the kiss. All thoughts of embarrassment or public indecency forgotten as she enjoys the feeling of his lips upon hers.

That is until she hears the familiar clicks of his phone taking more pictures. Breaking the kiss, she looks at him, trying to scowl at him. But the effect is ruined by the flush on her cheeks and the breathlessness of her voice. "Did, did you just take a picture of us kissing?"

Far too unphased for her liking, Mercury is already looking at his phone, doing SOMETHING on it. "Well, yeah..."

Maybe Jessica's shyness was bleeding into Golden Girl. She had never stayed transformed this long before. Because she found herself blushing not just from arousal, but from embarrassment. "Ok... Do you mind telling me why?"

Still completely unphased, Mercury doesn't even look away from the phone as her replies. "Because I wanted some pictures for our SuperLinked Profile." GG has no idea what Mercury is talking about, "and posted."

GG hears Jessica screaming in the back of her mind. "Did he just put pictures of us ONLINE!?"

While not quite as angry as Jessica, Golden Girl was still annoyed. "Mercury, what is 'SuperLinked' and why do we have a profile?" She probably wouldn't have minded, she just wanted him to ask.

Mercury finally looks away from the phone to look at GG. "Oh, I..." GG can see the gears turning in his mind as he tries to find the words. "I just thought... Ok, so you know what social media is?"

Seriously!? How old did he think she was?! GG takes a deep breath, reminding herself to not be that angry with the very sexy but apparently stupid 18 year old young man. Jessica was a teacher, GG just had to channel some of her patience, and authoritative tone of voice. "Yes, I am fully aware of what social media is Mercury."

You know, I only rolled this dice on a whim. But considering that GG rolled like SHIT I'm gonna roll with it. What can I say, I think it is funny.

Seriously though, what the FUCK is up with her rolls? NPCs and Mercury, crits and high rolls constantly! GG is lucky to roll over a 10?! Last "session/issue/whatever" she rolled Threee** NATURAL 1s!**

GG apparently can't pull off Jessica's 'Teacher Voice', because Mercury doesn't seem to react as the young man continues speaking as if nothing is the matter. "Well, when you agreed to team up," GG hadn't technically said yes, but she hadn't discouraged him either, "I created a profile for us on SuperLinked." GG tried to continue frowning at him, but when she saw his enthusiastic smile, she found it harder and harder to stay mad at him.

That said, Golden Girl realized that she needs to get Mercury to work on his communication skills. GG took a deep breath while doing her best to stay calm. "I take it that this, SuperLinked, is social media specifically for Superheroes?"

"Well, not just Heroes. Fans create profiles to follow their favorites. There are a few Villains on it as well. There are also special profiles for teams; that's what I made for us and why I wanted the pictures."

"Wait, you said Villains use this?" GG grabs the phone from Mercury and does a quick search for Power Fist. Unfortunately, "Damn, seems to be a fan account..." Didn't mean there wasn't anything useful. Because if Power Fist had a fan account, that means someone was keeping tabs on him. "Well would you look at that..." Grinning, Golden Girl looks at Mercury as she shows him the screen. "Looks like Power Fist likes to spend a lot of time at a nearby strip club." The profile was loaded with pictures of the crimeboss, some of his lieutenants (she thinks she recognized muscles), and women. Lots and lots of women. Makes sense from the little she knew about him.

Now that she has the phone in her hands though, she was curious to see what 'their' profile looked like. "So, what have you put onto, OUR, profile?" The app is easy enough to navigate and she soon finds herself in Power Metal's profile description which listed their Superhero Names. She also finds the pictures Mercury just took, along with a few more selfies of himself. Thankfully, Mercury had enough sense to not take pictures of GG while she was asleep, and naked. Or at least enough sense to not post them.

Scooting closer to her, Mercury looks at the phone screen while wrapping an arm around her waist. "There isn't much to put on it yet, why I wanted the pictures. But once we make the news we can link the stories to the account and get credit. So far the only thing we have linked is the security footage."

Wait, what? "What security footage are you talking about?"

"From our fight last week?"

As in the fight at the sex store? "As in when I was tied up!?" And fucked, and orgasmed, loudly...

"As in the footage where you punched two people through two different walls." Nice save Mercury, nice save. "As for the, um... Other stuff, it is honestly rather kind of normal..." Taking the phone back, Mercury starts pressing buttons, "Here, I'll show you."

While Golden Girl is genuinely curious about the kind of videos that were out there, "I don't think a coffee shop is an appropriate place to be looking at that kind of video Mercury. Maybe later..."

"Oh, yeah, I guess you have a point"

"Besides, we aren't here to mess around on social media. We are here to come up with a new plan of action." GG takes a sip of the coffee, and nearly spits it back out. "Fuck that is gross."
