Chapter 375 by voidcaller17
What's next?
Talks
The girls and I appear in my Domain, not wanting anyone to see us. I see Asami and Ramia sitting at the table. Harry and Anna, Ramia's parents are sitting with them. They all turn to us as we appear.
"Welcome back. How was the Dungeon?" Asami asks us.
"It was boring. The monsters were all weak, dying in one or two hits." Luna says with a sigh while sitting next to Asami. Innu sits next to Luna and I sit down at the end.
"Isn't that good then?" Anna asks confused.
"Normally yes, but Luna and Innu like a challenge. They were hoping the Demons would give them one." I say causing her to nod.
"So Master, did you get anything good?" Asami asks. I quickly Observe the drops while telling her about the gold we found with the chests.
Demon Blood(10), Mythical Alchemy Ingredient
This bottle of Demon Blood contains a high amount of raw mana. It's weaker than Dragons Blood, but it isn't limited to a single element like Dragons are. It can be used in a variety of ways. Many Alcemisits use this to create powerful Mana Recovery potions or to enhance other ingredients.
Imp Blood(45), Common Alchemy Ingredient
This vial of Imp Blood contains sparse amounts of mana. It's very poor and will most likely **** any potions that contain it. It's unstable due to the Demonic element within, causing most Alchemists to disregard it and sell it off for cheap. That said, it does still contain the Demonic element. Skilled Alchemists can extract this element. Though there's not much, it is a common and reliable way to get raw Demonic element.
Imp Hide(40), Rare Crafting Material
This Hide was taken from an Imp. It's more fragile than one would expect, yet it contains more mana than most Hides. It's mainly used in gloves and other leather/hide pieces that don't serve as armor.
"You found gold in the Dungeon?" Harry asks me as I finish Observing the drops.
"Yes, do you know what to do with it?" I ask him and he smiles.
"Yes, you have a few options. The first would be to keep it. I heard you know Runic magic right? Then you can add a layer of gold to something and carve the Runes into it. Gold contains much more mana than most metals. So it's common for accessories and the like to have a Rune engraved gold coating. Or you can sell it. The government or other Guilds would buy it, I'm sure. You can also use it in Alchemy. We can melt it down and extract some of the mana. It's how you get Liquid Mana. You have to boil down a lot of it though. That's why Liquid Mana is so rare. But we can use it for other purposes too." Harry says and I nod.
"Speaking of, do you know anything about lost magic?" I ask them.
"I do. I read in the Elven library that magic that no one knows anymore is called lost magic. It's basically just Schools of magic that wasn't able to be passed onto others before the people who know them died. Why do you ask?" Anna asks.
"I found a Spellbook in the Dungeon that says it's a lost magic."
"What School is it?" Asami asks.
"It's called the Alchemists School of magic." I say causing Ramia to spit out her water. "I take it you know of it?" I ask with a laugh.
"It's a School of magic that was created during the Lyna wars. It lets you create dolls to help with brewing potions. It was created to allow one to better create and experiment with Alchemy. You can even pour your own mana into raw ingredients, fusing it together and making something new. I even heard you can fuse other people's mana into ingredients. That means you could fuse an Ice mages mana into a Flame Essence to create a mixed element. The possibilities are endless!" Ramia says, very excited.
"Do you want it then?" I ask while taking the Spellbook out of my inventory. She looks at it eagerly but quickly looks away.
"I-I can't. You've already given m-me so much." She replies and I sigh.
"Well, I insist you take it." I say while sliding it over the table to her. "I don't know the first thing about Alchemy, so it'd be wasted on me. And I don't know anyone else who has high mana who knows Alchemy. But if you really feel that way, then you can fill these up." I say while taking out the two Empty Tomes. "Liz can make them into more Alchemist Spellbooks, but only if someone learns it first." I add while looking at Ramia. She smiles before grabbing the book.
"Thank you!" She whispers causing me to smile.
"So Eric, any news about yours and Ramia's wedding date?" Anna asks causing Ramia to turn to her.
"MOM!?" Ramia nearly shouts, her face is bright red.
"What's a wedding?" Innu asks Anna.
"A wedding is when two people who are in love get married. They swear themselves to one another. The details of each wedding differ per person, but most people invite their friends and family. Although some people only have small ones with those important to them. I hear some don't invite anyone and just get married in private." Anna replies as Ramia turns away to hide her blush.
"That sounds fun." Luna says.
"It does, but Beast men like us have a different tradition. Instead of a ceremony where you exchange rings like at a wedding, we do something else. It differs for the tribe of Beast man you are. Nekos like me have to prove to our partner's family that we can make them happy. This can be as simple as answering questions or demonstrating in person. It can be rather embarrassing honestly. I hear for Wolf men like you Luna, you spar for dominance. Then if a family member objects to your union, you have to spar with them. If you lose, then you lose the right to marry them, but I think they call it Bonding or something similar." Asami replies.
"What about Wyvern Hybrids?" Innu asks excitedly.
"I'm not sure. I don't think there's enough of you to have formed a tradition." Asami says causing Innu to sigh. We continue chatting for a while, before going our separate ways. I catch Ramia before she leaves.
"Wait Ramia. I forgot to give you this. It's a bottle of Greater Demon Golem Blood. It's good for making those dolls apparently." I say while taking the bottle out and handing it to her. She thanks me with a hug before running upstairs clutching the book excitedly.
