"Okay." Xander thought fast. "Okay. I wish Kendra had a close call like Buffy. She died. But only for a moment. She was revived. So Kendra is still a Slayer, Faith is still a Slayer, and Buffy is also a Slayer. There are now three active Slayers."

And the world changed.

Giles now had a house guest crashing on his couch. Kendra, after her close call, had high tailed it to Buffy. She needed someone to talk to about being 'mostly dead' for less than five minutes. Trying to grapple with mortality and also the feeling of failure. For someone like Kendra, who made being the Slayer her whole life, failing was devastating. Almost worse than dying.

And then Faith showed up. Same as she had the first time. On the run from the vampire Kakistos. Still lying, putting on a brave face and trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.

Only this time there was another, another Slayer around to lend a hand. And it seemed to end well. And slightly differently. The three Slayers slayed the Master Vampire same as last time. Only this time with Kendra around to help out it was pretty much a clean sweep and included in the slaying was the slippery Mr. Trick.

There werent that many changes from that vampire being slayed but there were some. Slayerfest never happened and Buffy got to enjoy her homecoming. Still didn't win homecoming queen. And while the Band candy incident still happened it was a lot less well executed, not as many adults ended up stoned on the dosed band candy. Giles and Mrs. S were still goofy on chocolate but the staff of the hospital were not. That little amount of resistance meant the final battle to save babies happened not in the sewers but outside the hosiptal.

And kicking vampire butt seemed to heal what ails you. Kendra and Faith were both feeling better after a spate of victories.

And the street wise Faith seemed to take a perverse intrest in trying to get a rise out of the very sheltered Kendra. More than the slight ribbing Buffy got in the original timeline.

Although thinking about the two Slayers at loose ends made Xander a little nervous. Kendra and Faith didnt have a good place to call home here in Sunnydale. A dangerous thing in Sunnydale as vampires could enter hotel rooms at will. Leaving Faith without the most basic of protections. And Kendra couldnt couch surf forever. Giles would have to do something about her living arrangements eventually. But like usual when it wasnt about Slaying Giles was dragging his feet.

So what to do about the two younger Slayers?
