Tucking himself back into place, his business head taking over, he walks you back where he was when you first enters. “Well lets see, I can get a good deal of coin from that sword, so you could get some of my finer weapons really. But then again if you are planning to get rid of anything else you might as well let me know all of it so I know where we stand.”

“True, well I suppose I like the idea of keeping warm, but the boots could go if you have another option.” Then you think over all of the things you have, and frankly the dagger is the only one that you really like. “I am in the mood for change, I think I will just keep the dagger, the rest I'll part with.” Part of you a little worried that it can be traced to you. “Umm, actually I think I'll let you take everything. If you want it.” The last you give him a naughty little smirk.

“I see, all stolen then. No matter, I don't care where it comes from.” He hits a latch on the back wall, “Then come you can see my special stock then. Just start picking things out and I will let you know how much as we go along.” As the two of you step into the room you can see everything is almost screaming for you. He notices your reaction, “I see I was right. Now if you want to learn how it works I can show you. Here hold this.” He hands you a slender rapier that feels a tiny bit cold to the touch. “Feel it, ok, feel that chill, now concentrate, focus your sight deep into the metal to see the spark that is there.”

“I think I have something, almost like it wants to take over and make me dance. I see...” There is a flash in your mind and you can see yourself wielding this like a pro and ice forming on the wounds of your enemies. Then you snap back, “Oh my, that was cool. So this makes you a better fighter and freezes people.”

“Exactly right. The more powerful the magic on the item the more grand the vision. It doesn't always work the same with everyone, for me I am less adventurous so I often see piles of gold. What I think I can sell it for I imagine. But for you, you will often see yourself using it. Well go ahead and give me all of your magic items, and I'll shut you in here so you can look around and figure out what you want. First concentrate on everything you have and imagine a pile of money, or gems or whatever and it should let you see a relative level of value of what you have. That can be your little test to see if you can guess right at what it all is worth.”

“Ok, sure.” You do as he says and close your eyes concentrating on how everything on you makes you feel. Then you try to come up with value and as he said you can see yourself swimming in a pile of fine silks, gems, and money, lots of money. “Wow, that is cool. Is that real?”

“Well not exactly, it is just relative to your perception. For now all it can do is give you an idea of how valuable things are in relation to each other. With experience and practice. Plus actually selling things of course, it will refine itself till you could be a shopkeeper like me. I suspect you will be wanting a bit more thrilling life however, but eeh at least you know you have something to fall back on. I live quite comfortably doing this. But I must re-open my shop, speaking of making more coin. Now all of your things.” He holds out his hands and you comply, stripping naked in the process. “My, I didn't expect to see that. However this time you feel quite a bit safer and a bit excited.
