How does she feel about that?
Results Still Hazy
"Cody...I'm not gonna lie," Summer began, fidgeting nervously and shifting her weight back and forth between her feet. "I've looked at you in that way, and I've started to develop feelings for you. I'm not entirely ready to commit to a relationship yet."
Damn it, why hadn't you thought of that yet? You chided yourself, because Summer still had a love score of only 19. Well, it was probably higher now, but nothing similar to the 80-something that you and Amy had. While Amy may've needed a higher score to get the ball rolling, due to her nature, 19 points was still nowhere near what anyone would need to start that.
"Plus, I'm still nervous about starting a relationship that's...well, different, like this one," she continued. "I'm not someone who likes drastic change. I'm also not someone who's been in many relationships. Not zero, but not many either, and this is just a little overwhelming."
Well, that was more positive than you expected her to react, and you guessed that the Affection Multiplier had something to do with that. You didn't really have any traits that would make you more believable, but that didn't mean there weren't hidden abilities that came with the app. That was all speculation though, maybe Summer was really looking for something with you, regardless of Amy's presence too.
"Are you going to say anything?" Summer said, bringing you back down to Earth and out of speculation.
"Sorry, got lost in the clouds again. I seem to do that a lot," you said with a chuckle. Summer let out a small laugh too, so you guessed that was a good sign. "Anyways, I'm glad that you didn't immediately say 'NO' with big red letters, so that's definitely a plus..." you trailed off a bit, trying to find your next sentence.
"I'm definitely not saying 'No'," Summer interrupted. "Far from it, I'm actually saying 'Yes', but I just need a little time to think about it, especially before we go out into the public or anything. I'd like to talk this over with Amy too, because, well, if she's gonna be in this relationship, we should probably be on the same page with everything."
"Great!" you said, beaming. Summer's face matched yours. She seemed both elated and relieved, likely relieved because you finally said something to her.
"I'm glad you finally said something to me," Summer said, confirming your theory in an almost scary way. "I was stuck in kind of a weird place, because I liked you, a lot, but Amy was a factor in everything, and I didn't want to do anything to her, and...yeah, all that jazz."
"Well, did you want me to see if Amy was free this evening so we could all chat?" you offered. "I don't want to overwhelm you, but it'd probably be better to do this sooner rather than later."
"Sure!" Summer said. "I wasn't planning on doing anything constructive this evening, and I bet you weren't either."
"What?" you said, with mock offense. "I _always _am doing something constructive."
"Mmhmm," Summer said, not buying it. "Right, like when you fell asleep on your keyboard and typed all those semicolons?"
"Hey, I told you that in confidence, you're not supposed to use it against me."
"Oh yeah? What're you going to do about it?"
You stood there for a second, before a twinkle showed up in your eye and you just picked her up and started walking. It helped that she was fairly light, but you could tell that _Great Athlete _was yielding positive results, as it wasn't nearly as hard as it would've been a month or so ago.
"Hey! Put me down!" Summer said after the shock wore off. You obliged and set her down, both because it was starting to hurt and because she said to.
"You jerk," she said, pouting. "I should be able to make fun of you."
"I mean, you are," you pointed out. "I'm just not gonna sit back and take it."
"Whatever you say," she said lightheartedly. "Let's go see if Amy's available right now."
