What Does She Say?
Craft!
"Asami said you made the table with your Craft skill, is that right?" Ramia says and I nod. "Can you make a fence that way? I'm asking because it'll contain your mana that way. Since it'll have your mana we can use that to create something like a deterrent for the animals. It'll also look nice to have a fence." She continues and I shrug.
"I'll try, but I have no clue if Craft can make fences." I say, warning her before casting Craft. I'm a little surprised to see that it's already showing me a fence post. I see I have a few options on how tall it can be. "I can make fences, so how long do you want them?" I ask and she looks around.
"I think four feet tall would be fine." She says and I nod. I set the height and make it. It costs me five pieces of wood to make one post. I take it out of my inventory and look at it. It's about seven feet tall and has two holes in it. One is near the middle and the other is near the top.
"Why's it so tall? Did you make it bigger?" Ramia asks and I shake my head no.
"No, you're supposed to bury it. That way it won't fall over. I think you're supposed to add rocks or cement too, but I'm not sure." I tell her and she blushes slightly before nodding.
"How many more posts do you need?"
"I don't know. I just wanted to see if this would work. I'll get started on figuring that out. Oh, but could you leave that here?" She asks while pointing to the post. "It'll make it easier to figure out how many we'll need."
"Yeah, do you just want me to leave it here?" I ask while placing the base of the post in the ground. She nods and I lay it down on the ground. "Is there anything else you need?"
"No, we managed to replant all of my parent's crops. Most of what's left is the fence, well for now. Once we get some more seeds we'll plant some more." Ramia answers and I nod.
"Then I'll let you get back to it. I'll see you once I'm out of school." I say and she nods before turning around. I return to school and leave the bathroom. Since classes still have a few minutes left, the halls are empty. I make my way up to the roof to meet with Myla. I unlock the door as the bell rings. I sit down and wait for Myla. I decide to start eating the lunch Asami made me while I wait. A few minutes later Myla opens the door. I see Hino following behind her.
"Sorry for making you wait." Myla says while Hino closes and locks the door. The two sit down next to me.
"I just got here a while ago." I say and she nods with a smile. "So did you want to come here for a specific reason, or did you just want to eat together?"
"I do have a reason, but we can get to that later. What's going on with Ramia? We know she joined your guild but now that her parents are back, will she be moving in with them?" Myla asks and I shake my head no.
"No, at least not yet. Her parents only got a place for them so there's no room. She'll be staying in my Domain for a while longer at least. But she and her parents did start a farm in my Domain." I answer causing Hino to tilt her head.
"They started a farm? What are they growing?" She asks and I smile.
"They're growing Alchemy ingredients. It turns out my Domain is a great place to grow them." I say a little too proudly.
"That's great. There's never enough of those on the market. You'll be able to make a small fortune if done right." Hino says and I shake my head no.
"Probably not. Most of them are for Ramia and her parents. I'd like to grow some to sell. But for now, I'm just letting them grow what they want."
"Is there a reason you're not growing specific ingredients?" Myla asks and I shrug.
"Not really. I'm letting Ramia have it, she's the one putting in the work to set it up after all." I say and she smiles. "But what's going on with your guilds? Anything new?" I ask causing Myla to sigh.
"Unfortunately no. We've been trying to get information from the Devil of Temptation. But he's been tight-lipped since your meeting. We're keeping our eyes out for any movement from the Litch King. But both he and the other Devils have been quiet. It's worrisome that the Litch King has gathered that many corpses. But for now, all we can do is prepare." Myla says and Hino nods in agreement.
"On another note, how are your Midterms going?" I ask and both of them groan.
"I don't even want to think about them. I think I passed mine, but not by much." Hino says.
"Same, I managed to study enough. I skipped training for the last few days to do so. But I still don't feel too confident." Myla adds and I chuckle. "So Eric, do you have any plans after school?"
"No, wait yes. Gaia asked me to do something for her. I'm not sure how long it'll take, however."
"What does she want you to do? I can't imagine something she needs you to do since she doesn't have her body yet. Speaking of, my father wanted me to ask if you knew when she'd be able to return to her body." Myla says and I go a little wide-eyed. Right, I haven't told the guilds about Gaia's return. I should ask Gaia if she wants me to keep it a secret from the guilds. I think quickly before answering.
"It's kind of complicated, it'll take a while to explain and I'd like to tell your parents about it too. I'll let you know when I can. Anyway, lunch is almost over. What did you want to see me for?"
