Makeover?
Plain Jane
Frankly, Marsha creeps you out. Paycheck or not you aren’t going with her.
“No thanks. I’d rather work my way up.”
“Suit yourself.”
You walk out quickly, trying to put some distance between you and Marsha. Soon, you are out of the building and on a bus.
An hour later you make it home.
You open your door and find your mom packing.
“What’s going on mom?”
“I told you Gracie, I’m in love. We’re invited to move in! The place is amazing, you’ll have your own room and bathroom!”
“Isn’t this moving a bit fast?”
“I don’t think so. But, even if it is, it’s a free room.”
You can’t argue with her logic.
“We’re invited over tonight.”
You realize your mom is in a nice party dress. Her makeup is flawless and her lips are a shiny cherry color.
“A driver is picking us up in twenty minutes. Pack what you need to sleep over.”
You quickly change and pack an overnight bag.
From outside you hear a honking horn.
You rush out and catch up to your mom.
As you exit you get a look at your ride. It’s a Hummer limo. You can’t help but wonder what your mom has gotten you in to…
