Chapter 220 by voidcaller17

What Does He Say?

Good News

"Okay Eric, You're going to lead us in. The principal of Star Rose is going to call them. He's going to tell them that a student of his and some others will be looking around the school. He'll say we're friends of his looking to open another school in the next town over. And that you will be here to show and tell us what other students might expect and need in a high school. Fortunately, the Dungeon is in the gymnasium, so we won't have to worry about others watching. But you'll need to answer questions that we ask if others are around." Scott says and I nod.

"Wait, what about your armor and weapons?" I ask.

"Don't worry. This isn't the first time we needed to be armed around normal people." Kallen says while Scott hands them all a small metallic bracelet.

"This uses Illusion magic to make our armor and weapons look like normal clothing." Sugano explains while they all put them on. I swap back to my clothes and Scott pulls out a large suitcase from the trunk of the jeep. He pulls a handle and it extends. He pulls it along behind him and it rolls on its wheels. He checks his phone before looking back at us.

"We're ready." He says and we start walking to the front entrance. I see a man standing in the shade by the doors. He walks up to greet us after he sees us.

"Hello, are you the people Mr. James said he was sending over?" He asks us.

"Yes, I'm Scott. Nice to meet you Mr?" Scott says stepping ahead of us and reaching out to shake his hand.

"Sorry I'm Mr. Lee, but just call me Miles." He says shaking Scott's hand.

"Are we good to look around?" Kallen asks a little impatient.

"You're fine now, let me show you around." He says while opening the door. He steps in and we follow him in. "Is there anywhere, in particular, you want to see first?" He asks and I see Kagiyama look at him awkwardly.

"Umm..." Kagiyama says while thinking and I smile before quickly walking ahead.

"Thanks for the offer, but I'm sure you must be busy. Besides, that's the reason they have me here. You'd be stealing my job." I say and Miles chuckles.

"What exactly is your job here? No offense, but I don't understand how having a student who already graduated high school will help them in setting up another." Miles asks and I smile back.

"They need me for advice. They've been looking at other schools too. And I'm here to help them figure out what students need and want. But I have to say, they're practically slavers, they won't stop asking questions. Even at night, I'll get texts from them." I say and he, again, laughs.

"At least they're thorough." Miles says and I nod. "Well, if you have any questions just come find me, I'll be in my office by the entrance." I nod and he walks back the way we came.

"Look at you, mister smooth talker." Liz says teasingly.

"Like you could've done better." I reply causing her to turn away with a Tsk.

"The Dungeon's this way." Scott says while pointing slightly to our left. His other hand is holding a small, phone-sized device. On its top rests an antenna, that's only two inches tall. We start walking down the hallway while the others pretend to look around. We find and enter the gymnasium after about ten minutes. Once we get inside I can feel the mana change in the air. It's much more dense and just feels evil. I see Liz looking around us and Scott starts unpacking a device from his suitcase. It's a square of about two feet by two feet. It has a screen on the top and a tube connected to a large canister still in the suitcase.

"Are you two ready?" Sugano asks me and Liz.

"Yep." Liz answers and I nod. We walk over to where Scott is.

"Are we ready?" Kallen asks.

"You are... Now." Scott says as the screen in the device lights up blue.

"Okay, let's go." Kagiyama says and unrolls a scroll before I could cast Enter Dungeon. The scroll lights up and the world around us changes. I look around after we arrive. I see a large swamp, but unlike the Fishman one I was in before, it has far more trees.

"Good, this'll make it easier." I hear Kallen say.

"Why is that?" I ask him and he explains.

"Most Hydra Dungeons are in swamps like this. But the trees are too dense here for it, so the beast will be in a clearing, somewhere ahead. That'll let us find it and figure out a plan before it notices us."

"It's this way." Sugano says while pointing to my far right. We start walking and quickly find the Hydra. It's in a large clearing ahead of us. We stop and start thinking of a plan.

"What kind of strategies are normally used for Hydras?" I ask them, realizing I should have asked sooner.

"We couldn't do that." Liz says with a sigh. "Normally a Hydra is handled by a group, they'd have healers, tanks, support, and attack mages. But we don't have the people for that." I nod and quickly Observe the Hydra.

Hydra Lvl 70, Class: Mythical, Title: Devourer, RP: -109, Hearts: 0, Weak: Thunder

HP: 17500/17500 MP: 7750/7750

"What do you see?" Liz asks, having seen me use Observe.

"Well?"
