A Tough Fight

"Not good, it's weak to Thunder but I assume you knew that already." I say and she nods.

"Eric, how fast can you fly?" Kallen asks me.

"I'm not sure, why?"

"I have a plan, but I'll need you to get its attention. Could you do it?"

"Yeah, I can Blink if I need to, how long do you need?"

"Not too long, just a few minutes."

"But we'll be there with you too." Sugano says.

"Okay, then let's go." I say and they nod. We start walking towards the Hydra. I take my claws and boots out while casting Ancient Beastial Strength. I look at the Hydra and see it lying down. One of its heads is looking around while the other two are lying in the water. I walk around to its head and look at where the others are. We agreed that I'd start the fight once they're in position. I see them in the right places and cast Thunder on my Katana. I jump out of the bushes and cast Ancient Beast Slash. I send it to one of the Hydras heads that are resting.

The Hydra lifts its heads and they all roar. It stands up and turns to me. I take out my wings and fly straight to its necks. I cut it's middle one deep as I fly past it.

I have to Blink to get away from one of its heads trying to bite me. I fly above it and turn around. I see all of its heads are focused on me. One of them opens its mouth and starts charging a ball of blue light. The ball grows bigger and bigger and I feel the mana getting denser. I see Sugano and Kagiyama jump out of their hiding places and smile. I charge the Hydra as Sugano raises her staff. The Hydra fires and I quickly Blink straight down.

I smile when I see Sugano launched a ball of water at the beast. I see Kagiyama jump and land a punch on the Hydras side.

The Hydra roars from two of its heads. The third lunges for Kagiyama and I take this chance. I fly straight for it and stab my blade into its eye.

I pull my blade out and Multicast Draconic Ice. I used my left foot to cast it since I placed it right on the edge of the Hydras mouth.

I jump back and put some distance between us. Just as I had hoped, the Hydras mouth is frozen shut. I see it start to struggle to open it. I grunt when something dawns on me. The Hydras eye I stabbed has reappeared. Damn it, does a full-grown Hydra have regenerative properties? I think before running back to the fight. Before I get to the beast, it gets trapped by vines. The vines shoot up from the ground and grab the Hydra's two unfrozen heads. I smile and jump, stabbing my blade deep into its back as Kagiyama attacks one of its trapped necks.

I pull my blade out when something hits me on my side.

I fall into the water and look up. I see the frozen Hydra head is where I just was. It was able to turn its head completely around and headbutt me off itself. I quickly do the math while I jump and start flying. The Hydra has 3383 HP left, no it heals. Crap I don't know how much. Okay, we've done 14117 damage to it. I have 659 HP left. I should heal up. I Multicast Healing Hands on myself twice and look down at the fight a bit below me.

I see Kagiyama dodging the heads, that have now broken free. Liz tries to bind it again but it keeps breaking them. Only the head I froze is bound. I smile and fly down to its body. Before I can attack I hear Kagiyama shout.

"GET BACK!" He shouts loudly and I see him, Sugano, and Liz all getting away from the Hydra. I follow suit and fly back, quickly getting away. There's a moment of silence before light appears above the Hydra. It starts off as a large ball, almost as wide as my bike, and grows. It soon becomes as large as a truck and The Hydra quickly notices. All three of its head start charging a ball of energy. The ball of light crashes down on the beast, causing its legs to buckle and slip. The Hydra falls on its stomach and the heads all fire their shots randomly into the sky. The ball of light keeps pushing down and the Hydra roars in pain. I notice a fog has appeared and look for its source. I see that the ball of light is causing the water near the Hydra to evaporate and create a smoke cloud. Suddenly the light grows so bright I have to close and cover my eyes. I hear it explode and slowly open my eyes.

I look to where the Hydra was and smile, seeing only a crater. I quickly store the item away before running over to the others.
