More Dungeons

I get on my Motorcycle and drive down to the guild hall. I store the bike away again and walk inside. I look around, just now realizing I don't know any other members of the guilds. I walk towards what looks like a reception desk. Before I get there I see Scott talking to Sally. They see me and call out.

"Eric! What are you doing here?" Sally asks me when I walk over.

"I'm looking for Kallen and the others, do you know where they are?" I ask and Scott smiles.

"Actually they should be here any second. We located another Dungeon, but it's too much for any of our members to handle. So they're gearing up now." He answers and I sigh.

"Eric, take this. Larion asked me if I could make these for you. It's a Hairpin enchanted with illusion magic. it'll make your hair go back to its natural color." Sallys says while handing me a small metal hairpin. I take it and put it in. "Anyway, what did you need them for?" Sally asks and I hesitate to answer. I don't know if they know about the Devil of Temptation being captured or my plan to talk with him. Fortunately, Liz starts talking before I even have a chance to answer.

"Hey Eric, what are you doing here?" She asks and I turn around. She has her armor on and her staff in her hands. "Oh! Did you come to talk with the Devil?"

"Yeah." I say, both relieved that she was so carefree about it but a little worried at the same time.

"Nows not the best time." She starts before I cut her off.

"I know, Scott's told me about the Dungeon. So are you going too?"

"Yep, I don't mind killing monsters and it's a Hydra, so they'll need the help." She says before smiling and clapping her hands. "Why don't you come along too!" She asks like she just invited me to join her on a trip to the mall. Before I can answer I hear another person's voice.

"Eric!" Strom shouts. I turn and see him running to me while carrying a stack of papers under his arms. "I'm glad you're here. I have something to tell you." He says and gets interrupted by Kallen.

"Strom? Why were you shouting?" He asks and I see Kallen has on a full set of metal armor. It shines in the light and I can sense it has mana flowing through it.

"Sorry, but when I saw Eric I got excited to tell him about the results." Strom answers and I hear someone laugh. I turn to see Kagiyama and Sugano. Kagiyama has on a set of chainmail and leather and Sugano is wearing a light blue robe. Her outfit reminds me of a witch, all she needs is the hat. Both of their armors have their own unique flow of mana.

"What results?" I ask and Strom turns to me excitedly.

"Of your Familiars Mark!" He says and I nod, excited to learn more about this.

"Sorry, but we really do need to get going." Scott says interrupting Strom.

"Right. Let's get going." Kallen says and Kagiyama turns to me.

"Eric, do you want to join us?" He asks and I sigh.

"Strom, here call or text me later and we can schedule a time to meet up and talk about this." I say while quickly writing down my number on a notecard I borrowed from the desk. He takes it and nods before turning back around. I swap to my armor and follow the others. When we get to the jeep Scott turns to us.

"Crap, the jeep doesn't have enough seats." He says and I smile.

"That's fine, I can follow you guys." I say taking my Motorcycle out. He sighs relieved and hops in the driver's seat.

"I'm changing vehicles." Liz says walking over to me. I sigh but decide it'll be better to let her ride with me than fight it. We get on and I follow behind the jeep.

"So why is Scott driving them? I thought they had their licenses." I ask Liz.

"They do, but this Dungeon is a little different than the others. The Hydra inside is too strong for the Dungeon to contain. All Hydra are. Anyway, this means that the mana inside is getting out. That's bad for the area around it since it could damage any plants around it. Or if enough of it gets out then it could make monsters outside the Dungeon. So Scott's coming to set up a machine that'll absorb the mana coming from the Dungeon. We'll then use that to fuel some training Golems to train some of our newer and less experienced members." Liz answers. I nod, even though she probably couldn't see it since she's holding onto me from behind. We spend the rest of the drive in silence and get there after about half an hour. I stop right behind the jeep and look to see where we are. I see a high school. It's about as big as the school I go to, but it doesn't have any walls or gates. I hear Liz grunt and sigh angrily.

"Do you not like schools?" I ask and she shakes her head no.

"The Dryads home-schooled me. They knew mostly what other schools would teach me and managed to make it fun. But I had to do a year of high school to get the job I have with the government. And it sucked. Big time." She says and I laugh.

"Poor Liz, having to do a single year of high school." I taunt and she turns away angrily. We walk up to the others who are waiting.

"What's going on?" Liz asks them.

"We didn't look at what the Dungeon was on top of. And even though it's Saturday there are still some teachers inside. Scott's trying to get us in without causing a scene now." Sugano answers and points to Scott, who's about ten feet away and talking into his phone.

"Eric, are you going to set up that party thing?" Liz asks and I nod. I send the others an invite. Fortunately, Liz or their daughters seem to have told them about my party system. So they weren't too surprised when they got it. They accepted it and I see their icons appear, along with their HP and MP bars.

"Eric, why is your blue bar not filled?" Kallen asks a little concerned. I check and see I'm at 1398 out of 1485 MP.

"That's my mana. I forgot to switch my bike to use the tank." I say.

"What tank? And why did your bike use your mana?" Sugano asks.

"The bike uses mana as fuel instead of gas. And I've found it has a tank on it. I'm able to fill the tank with my mana, and can use that instead of my current mana. That way if I run out or need my mana I can still use it. But I forgot to switch it to use the tank so it still used my mana." I answer right before Scott walks back to us.
