"Safeguards of the app"

Because of recent events in your life, the developers in charge of the Affection Multiplier feel the need to let you know about a few safeguards put in place in the app.

What the-okay, whatever.

One of the most important safeguards that we put in place is the app's secrecy. The app is not visible to any person other than the users, unless the users specifically tell people about the app, in which case it will become visible. Alternatively, users can choose to click a special option in a person's profile that will make them aware of the app's existence if the circumstances should come up.

Also, traits can be removed from a person by clicking on the trait within their profile. When a trait is removed that you have added to that person, you get 50% of the points back as a refund. When a trait is removed that someone else has added to that person, you get no points back, but the person who added that trait gets 75% of the points back.

Okay, so there are more users. That shouldn't be a surprise though, this was a gift given to you, so who's to say that it wasn't given to someone else?

Two users of the Affection Multiplier cannot influence one another. This involves seeing scores, applying traits, or anything of the like involved with the app.

That made a lot of sense, actually. You were pretty happy that none of the people you had talked to had the app, but you figured you would run into one of them sooner or later. Or would you? How many people actually had the app?

Whatever, it was no use speculating this while Amy was sitting there reading along with you. She looked up at you and said, "Well that's pretty interesting, isn't it?"

Well, good thing that she wasn't really mad at you for this whole thing. Plus, now she could see the app too, which might be beneficial to you, unless the app had something that you wanted to keep secret for a surprise or something. There was the possibility that you could toggle her awareness off and on, but that certainly wasn't something that you were going to check with her sitting right next to you.
