A winning game and new opportunity

During the game, you're having a good time as always, talking with a lot of your guy acquaintances in the band. The Affection Multiplier did work on males, but you didn't spend much time trying to increase your relationships with them.

The score is heavily in your team's favor for the majority of the game. You play your field show, and it's significantly easier, likely due to your "Great Athlete" perk. After the game, where you all win, all of you are on an adrenaline high, and that's when it happens.

Isabella comes up to you while you're putting your instrument away, and asks "Hey, I'm having a party, do you want to come?"

This was the first time you've ever been invited to a college party. In the last party you went to, the strongest drink was a bowl of straight fruit punch, and the only games were games that could be played around 6-year-olds. Safe to say, you weren't prepared for what came in the party.

When you accepted, your head was somewhat spinning. You knew Isabella threw these parties every Friday after a winning football game, but you were honored that she decided to invite you this time. After you put your instrument away, you located Amy and asked if she wanted to come along with you.

She fidgeted a bit nervously, but ended up saying, "Sure, why not? It'll be fun, we don't really get out that much!".

Isabella texted you the location of the party and the time, leaving you with about an hour to get prepared. As you opened your dressed in your dorm room, you remembered that you didn't really have any fancy clothes...until you looked in the bags from your shopping spree with Amy that you had neglected to put away. She had insisted that you buy some nice clothes, which you were initially **** about, but it ended up saving your butt here.

Summer also happened to be walking on the path at the same time you were, so you managed to catch up with her for a bit. Although she was invited to the party, she declined to go, because she wasn't really a social person and had to go to work over the weekend. You were a little upset about that, since it may've been good bonding time for you and Summer at the party, but there'd be other chances.

When you get to the party, it's pretty much the stereotypical college party that you've heard about, but there's still a shock factor involved from being in this place. It's so different from what you've ever been to, and Amy is no different. The two of you stand near a corner to avoid getting caught in the fray of it all. You awkwardly make conversation with her and a few other acquaintances that you know, before you see Heidi come over to you.

"Hey Cody and Amy! I see you two finally decided to embrace college life for what it's worth!" she said, holding a red solo cup and swaying lightly.

"That's one word for it", you said. "I prefer to call this my trial run."

"Well, you can't call it a trial run if you're not doing anything other than standing here in this corner the whole time!" Heidi responded.

You weren't sure what to do, but thankfully, Isabella spotted the three of you and walked over.

"Hey Heidi, you're not trying to convince Cody and Amy to do anything they're not comfortable with, are you?" Isabella said coolly.

"'Course not!" Heidi responded with a laugh. "I was just catching up with my stand partner!"

"Right..." Isabella responded with a little bit of uncertainty. "Well, I saw Ariana over there, and she looked like she needed someone to talk to".

"Thanks!" Heidi said. Ariana was her best friend, and it seemed like she was just dragged along here, similar to Amy.

"Sorry about her, she gets really pushy when she drinks", Isabella said.

"Yeah, I could see that", Amy responded with a little chuckle.

"You both looked kinda cornered by her, so I figured I'd swoop in here and help out", Isabella reasoned. "You two don't really strike me as the type to party that often, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is your first party."

"That it would be", you said.

"Hmm", Isabella responds. You're not sure what that meant, if she was just adding that information into her perception of you, or if she just was making a noise to affirm that she's listening. "Well, if you two are too uncomfortable, you can leave. I won't be offended at all, since I kinda **** you to come along here".

"No, we can stay for a little while, right Cody?" Amy said.

That was surprising. You didn't expect her to be the one pushing for the two of you to stay, but you weren't going to pass up the chance to stay.

"Sure, why not?" you responded.

Isabella raised an eyebrow, said, "Whatever you say," and sashayed off to go talk to another group of people.

Amy loosened up a bit, but she was by no means getting involved in the party. She just wasn't sitting there, stiff as a board, not talking to anyone. She started talking to a few people that she knew, and you did the same, mingling a little bit, which was new for the two of you.

The thing that really surprised you is when Amy started to dance a little bit to the music playing in the background. She grabbed your hand, and the two of you ended up awkwardly dancing for a little while, causing both of you to laugh when you realize how strange this must seem, but for a little while, you don't care. The two of you are in your own little world.
