Chapter 18 by Chip_Arranger Chip_Arranger

What do you do with your week?

Expend your repertoire

After the tumultuous weekend that you had, it's nice to go back to a sense of normalcy. You spend a little time with Amy and Isabella like you planned, and you attend band practice as normal. It's a little difficult right now, since you're exercising in addition to the marching band rehearsals.

It's not only that, though. You begin spending a little time with a few other girls that you took a keen interest in.

Heidi Anderson. She was in your section and actually next to you in the field show. You spent a lot of time making quips while Mrs. Adams was working on other sections or rambling on about who knows what. She was pretty, but pretty much everyone in this college was pretty according to your teenage male mind. She was witty too, often firing a quip right back at you after you made one. She was similar to Amy in that way, but she seemed a little more approachable than Amy, and was very upbeat.

Affection Score: 31

Sophia Newman. A person who was in your chemistry class, not in the band, but you two worked in a group a lot of the time, which Amy was not slow to express her negative feelings towards. She was very quiet, keeping to herself most of the time, and kinda just went along with everything, but she warmed up to you, offering a shy perspective, a stark contrast from the other girls you had been talking to.

Affection Score: 25

The one that was a little surprising was Evelyn Pearson, Amy's sister. She was a year younger than Amy, making her 18, but because of where her birthday fell, she was two grades behind Amy, making her a high school senior. She went on a tour of the campus on Wednesday, and Amy showed her around with you, occasionally sneaking in some hand-holding when Evelyn was preoccupied on something else. She was imaginative and wide-eyed, reminding you of a smaller child, but it was more of that she had a lot of ambition and insatiable curiosity.

Affection Score: 12

In your attempt to try to talk to some more girls though, you had been neglecting one of them that you had previously been spending a lot of time with, Summer. While you hadn't been outright ignoring her, you hadn't been going out of your way to talk to her. Maybe you were biting off more than you could chew at the moment.

That was when your eyes were drawn to the "Sleep Optional" trait. You could start balancing your time better if you had more of it...

No, that wouldn't help. What would it do if you had more time, because most of the time you'd be gaining would be during the night, when things weren't open and people weren't awake. You just had to start allotting time in your day specifically to spend with these people. You already had your workout time and study time with Isabella, as well as study time with Amy. You got lunch and supper with Amy as well. Band rehearsals were spent with Heidi, and Sophia was present during all of your chemistry classes. Evelyn wouldn't be around that often, so she wasn't a part of the equation. Maybe you could start eating breakfast with Summer? Amy didn't like to get up early, and Isabella ate lunch with some of her friends.

Friday morning, you woke up bright and early and went to the dining hall where you first ran into Summer. Sure enough, she was already in line to get her food. You watched her sit at a table alone and eat her bacon and eggs. Not being able to take it anymore, you slid into the chair across from her with your food and asked, "Mind if I sit here?"

A smile flashed across her face and she said, "Of course I don't mind, as long as you're not planning to run into me again".

Wallace, Summer

Affection Score: 33 (+7)

Author's Note: I appreciate all of the feedback that I've been getting on my story. The Cody Stevens branch is actually my first delve into writing a story, and it's really heartwarming reading all of your comments. I promise that there will be some sexy stuff coming soon (After all, that's what most people are here for), but I wanted to develop the characters before that, and writing these expositional chapters allowed me to do that. I hope to keep updating this story as often as I have been, but as finals season looms over me, that might get to be a little more difficult. Again, thank you all so much for reading, it means a lot.

What happens at the game?
