What's next?

What Happened In The City While Darx Was Away? Part 2

[Kase point-of-view]

It took longer than I thought, but Ilene finally made it to the city. I've been thinking about her a lot since the night we spent together; I really want to repeat the same soon.

Returning to the dining room, I saw that Mili had already finished her food, but she looked tired and sleepy, "Everything alright?" I asked her, "Don't try too hard, remember, it will take time for you to heal fully."

"I know... Syvis told me not to try too hard since the first few days would be difficult."

"In that case, let's go back to your room."

"Is Syvis coming tomorrow?" She asked me while getting up from the chair.

"Do you like Syvis?"

"Of course! She was very kind to me, and when the medicine she gave me caused me pain, she would tell me stories to distract my mind. She is also very pretty and strong and can heal people and use magic. I want to be like her! Please convince her to help me train."

"I'll do what I can, though for now, go rest."

I didn't expect Mili to be so fond of Syvis. So far, she has only shown something similar to Amelia, who keeps her company every day. It seems that luck is still on my side. Not only will I be able to cure my sister, but everything is settling in for me to get closer to Syvis, and on top of that, Ilene is in town. In order to take control of the family and be the legitimate successor of my father, I need to be married, and it would be nice if I could marry Amelia, Tricia, Syvis, and Ilene at the same time.

The following day after the sex I had with my girls every morning, we headed to the dining room, and to my surprise, Mili was already there.

"Mili!" Amelia said, surprised after seeing her outside her room.

While we had breakfast, I explained to them what had happened the day before. Amelia was happy with tears in her eyes while she hugged her. In the time she has been living with Mili, they have become close.

Tricia was also surprised, "Syvis really managed to heal her? How?"

"I'm not sure either," I replied, "The important thing is that there is a cure even though it will take time."

"Your childhood friend's girlfriend is amazing by the looks of it, huh, Amelia!" Tricia said.

With a crestfallen expression and low voice, Amelia replied, "Y-Yes... It seems that way."

"Miss Syvis has a boyfriend?" Milli asked.

"What's wrong, Mili? Did you want your brother and Syvis to have a relationship?"

"But, you can't. You're already engaged to Tricia and Amelia." My little sister responded exalted.

"Hahaha! We are nobles, Mili. We can have all the wives and husbands that we want. In the future, you can also have all the men you wish."

"I don't want that! I'm not interested in having a boyfriend. I want to learn magic!"

"Mili is so cute!" Tricia said, "I remember when I was just as innocent."

Somehow I can't imagine Tricia being innocent. She may be worse than me.

"I can teach you what I know about magic, too," Amelia said, smiling at Mili.

"Really! If I have Amelia and Syvis teaching me, I can be an adventurer in no time. Brother, take me to buy the things I need."

"Take it easy," I told her, "Remember that to take the ritual, you have to be old enough and also, do you feel well enough to go to the street market?"

"I feel good! Let's go now!"

"Unfortunately, I can't right now. I have things to do at the guild."

Mili was sad to hear that I couldn't take her; however, Amelia offered to take her for a walk. With that said, Amelia and Mili went for a walk, and Tricia stayed in the mansion while I went to the guild to inform Agnes what had happened. Agnes received me in her office, and there I told her how Syvis managed to help my sister.

"I expected no less from Syvis," Agnes told me with satisfaction, "There is a reason why she is one of the few people I respect."

"I am becoming more and more interested in Syvis," I said, "She gave me the impression of not having much love experience; what can you tell me about it?"

"It is true that she is not someone who cares about these issues," Agnes began to speak, "On one occasion, she told me that when she still lived in the territory of the Dark elves, she had trouble with her sister's husband and he was one of the reasons why she left her birthplace. However, she never wanted to tell me much about it. although I intuit that there was something related to love affairs."

A situation with her brother-in-law... Something serious enough to leave her birthplace and avoid telling her closest friend. I'm intrigued to know what happened.

"Other than that," Agnes continued, "She had a boyfriend for a while when we were young, but it didn't pan out."

"What kind of guy was he?"

"Pretty normal, I would say. He didn't excel at anything; I just remember that he was quite insistent on bringing her flowers and gifts so that Syvis would agree to go out with him."

"Really? Syvis doesn't seem like a person to be influenced by that sort of thing."

"You're right!" Agnes stated, "Back then, our mutual friends and I were starting to date, and maybe she was curious about what it was like to be in a relationship, though it didn't get her anywhere. Maybe she also accepted because during that time..., she didn't drink... her..."

"Drink?" I asked, confused, "Drink what?"

"I-Is nothing. Shortly after they started dating, she dumped him."

"So she's never been in a serious relationship."

I've never cared if a woman is a virgin or not, despite that, it's a pleasant surprise to learn that Syvis hasn't been in many relationships. I will be able to mold her to my liking. Agnes was also about to say something about something to drink, but in the end, she stopped. Was it something important?

"...Until now." Agnes continued.

"Uh?"

"The relationship she has with that Darx boy seems serious. To be honest, I don't understand why she's dating him. She had hundreds of better suitors in the past, so why him?"

"Indeed, why him?"

Agnes took out some documents from her desk and put them on the table and reading a little what was written on them, I saw that it was information about Darx.

"At first glance, he seems like an ordinary boy, but upon further investigation, there are many strange things," Agnes said, putting her hands on the desk, "His father one day came to the city from nowhere and joined Dark Dragons being one of the best adventurers who have passed through that guild and then disappeared just as he arrived. It is believed that he died during a quest, but his body was never found."

"Come to think of it, Ilene never mentioned her ex-husband," I said.

"Ilene trained you, right!? Do you know her well?"

"Ooh, I know her very, very well."

"...I'm not even going to ask," Agnes said with a disappointed expression.

"The odd thing and one of the reasons Harold is so interested in the Darx boy is his eye color, which was a characteristic of [Zrephia] Royalty."

What Agnes hinted to me made me stand up in shock, "Wait, are you saying that Darx is related to the royalty of [Zrephia]?"

"Of course not!" Agnes said aloud, "That bloodline ended with the Princess Of The Calamity. It is impossible; however, his eye color is still strange. And there is something else."

"Now what?"

"I was curious to meet him, so I went to see him just for a moment without him noticing my presence, and it was enough to confirm that I don't want him near Syvis."

"Was the first impression he gave you that bad? Hahaha!"

I said it in a joking tone, but Agnes didn't take it the same way and continued talking with a worried expression that I had never seen her make before.

"Maybe it's not apparent to people who don't have sensory skills like me, but there's something wrong with him. There is something evil in him. I talked to Harold to confirm what I felt since he has a similar skill and has spent time with Darx and even though he didn't want to confirm it, he didn't deny it either."

Not that I'm totally surprised by what Agnes is telling me. For a moment, I felt something similar when Darx summoned that owl. It was a sinister sensation that even the demon I faced did not make me feel. But whatever the case, I know that I am stronger than him and always will be.

"Most likely, the Queen forbade Harold to share information about Darx," Agnes continued, " Which tells me that the Queen is aware and must be planning something. I'm sure they know something else that they don't want to reveal. And if it was not enough, I found out while investigating him that the church is also following his movements."

"Well, well, there's a whole crusade around Darx, and he doesn't even know about it," I said.

"That's why I'm sure he's not someone I want near Syvis. I feel like anyone around him will be dragged into misfortune, and my hunches are rarely wrong. So hurry up and take Syvis away from him. Syvis deserves a position of power by your side as leaders of Oblivion. A life of luxury where she can follow her passion for alchemy without any worry."

"I'm trying, but I have other business to take care of today," I said as I got up from my seat.

"Other matters?" Agnes asked me.

"Someone I was waiting for has arrived in town, and I'm going to welcome her."

"Agg, stop wasting time."

"Don't worry. In no time, you will see Syvis and me walking through that door like two lovers." I said as I headed to the door, then I stopped for a second, "By the way, when you were talking about Syvis, you mentioned something about a drink. What did you mean?"

Agnes was flustered for a second but quickly returned to normal, "It's nothing important. Forget that."

Agnes returned to her documents, not wanting to continue the conversation.

"I see..." I said.

Her reaction makes me think that it is indeed something important.

After leaving the guild, I approached my butler, who was waiting by the side of the carriage, "What has Ilene been doing?" I ask him.

"We have been watching her from afar as ordered. Yesterday, after Miss Ilene arrived, she went to the Knight Hospitaler Guild, where she met Miss Alice. Leaving there, she went to the Midnight Dawn building, where we assume she went to look for her son."

While I was still listening to his report, we got into the carriage, and after a few seconds, we were on our way.

"Not finding him as he is out of town on a quest, Miss Ilene stayed at one of the nearby inns until this morning, when a member of the Dark Dragons guild named Helena visited her," The butler continued, "After they both had breakfast at the inn, they both headed to the Dark Dragons building where we think she met the guild master, however, we can't confirm that."

Hum, most likely, she has been offered a place back in the guild. I would really like to have Ilene in Oblivion, but it's not something I can talk her into at the moment. I wonder if she agreed to return to Dark Dragons? That would complicate things quite a bit.

"We're almost there. Miss Ilene is at this moment shopping in the company of friends."

"With friends?" I asked.

"She is with a fairly tall and corpulent man and his three daughters." The butler replied.

"I get off here," I said.

"As you order."

Before getting off the carriage, I used my [invisibility] to avoid being seen by the crowd and causing a riot. After walking through the crowded streets, I found Ilene and just as the butler said, she had company. Now I remember, it's the bear-like guy who was in the village and his three daughters.

Did they arrive in the city together? Ilene seems in a good mood, don't tell me he's really her type. I followed them for a moment until they reached an area without too many people, and after canceling the skill, I approached them.

"I'm glad you all got here safely."

Suddenly calling them surprised everyone except Ilene, who noticed my presence as soon as I canceled my skill. To be honest, I expected more reaction from her since the last time we met in the village, she seemed not to want to see me anymore, but she just looked at me without any change of expression.

"Oh, it's Kase!" In a happy tone, the middle sister said, "I didn't expect that we would see someone famous so soon after just arriving in the capital."

"We couldn't thank you enough for your help," The older sister spoke, "Thanks to you and Ilene, we made it out alive."

"You have nothing to be thankful for. Ilene was my teacher, so I will always come to her aid when she needs it." I reply.

"You are so kind!" The middle sister said, "I wish Ryul had joined Oblivion. Maybe that way we could see each other more often."

The middle sister was trying to flirt with me and the older sister, in response, trying to be discreet, hit her in the side with her elbow. They are easily impressionable village girls. If I wished, I could have both in my bed at the end of the day, but the one I'm really interested in hasn't said a single word.

"Ryul?" I asked.

"Ryul is our brother." The little sister answered me.

"He recently became an adventurer and joined a famous guild called Midnight Dawn." The older sister continued.

That name sounds familiar ...don't tell me it's the elf in Darx's party."

"It's time to go." The father spoke to the girls in a gravelly husky tone, "I'm sure Ilene and Kase have things to talk about, and we have things to take care of as well."

Then he approached me and stretched out his hand, wanting to greet me, so I returned his greeting. He has a firm grip. I estimate that he has the strength of a C-rank adventurer, "I also want to thank you. Even though the village was destroyed, all the villagers made it out alive."

"I'm pleased I was helpful."

As they were leaving, the middle sister turned around and said, "Kase, don't ignore us if we see each other again." While waving her hand.

To which I just smiled. If the opportunity presented itself, I wouldn't mind taking her to my bed.

And now I'm finally alone with Ilene.

"How did you know that I had arrived?" Ilene asked me while looking at me suspiciously.

"There is no use in trying to lie to you, so yes, I asked to be informed as soon as you arrived in the city."

"I'm not surprised. So? Why are you here? I was clear with you the last time we spoke."

"First of all, I'm glad you're okay. I wanted to stay with you until the end, but you clearly wanted time alone. Aside from that, there are two reasons why I'm here. Being the first one, I didn't think you would come to see me as soon as you arrived, and I wasn't wrong."

"Why would I go to see you? I have more important things to take care of right now."

"Like going for a walk with the bear-man!?"

"You mean Magno!? What I do or who I see is none of your business."

"I know, I know, but I can't help but feel jealous that you'd rather go for a walk with him."

"Don't talk nonsense. We are nothing, so there is no reason for all this stupidity."

"You think so? I think we're actually very close, from what I remember."

When Ilene heard that I was referring to that night, she lost the calm she had had until now and became flustered.

"That night was a mistake! I-I don't want to hear you say it again, you..." Ilene seemed to realize something and violently grabbed my clothes, pulling me towards her, "You didn't say anything to Darx, did you!?"

"Of course not," I replied.

Although I must admit that I would like to see the face that Darx would make if I told him that I fucked his mother. It will be fun, but I have to be patient. The first thing is to make Ilene mine.

"I still don't understand why you have such a bad impression of me." I started to speak while she still had me by the clothes, "From the beginning, you put a wall between the two of us just because I'm noble. I don't know how to make you see that my feelings for you are sincere. I didn't lie when I told you I wanted to make you my wife. The only reason I went to help defend the villages and fight that demon was because of you. I thought that night you had finally accepted me."

Ilene let go of me and took two steps back, "I appreciate your help but don't think you're fooling me. I know you have an ulterior motive for everything you do. People like you don't change that easily, and even if I believed you, I'd never be a part of one of the harems that the nobles like so much. Do you think I don't know that you're engaged to Amelia?"

I knew that Ilene would not be someone easy to get, but it is proving more complicated than I thought. I know that she also has some feelings for me, even though she refuses to accept them. Knowing Ilene, she wouldn't have spent the night with me just for a moment of weakness. However, the fact that I am also with other women will impede Ilene from fully accepting me. Not to mention that she must feel that being with me is wrong, knowing the hostility that Darx and I have. At this rate, I will have **** but to use my skill on her to make her mine.

"And now, if that's all you had to say, I'm leaving," Ilene said while walking away.

"Wait, you still haven't heard the second reason I came to see you."

Ilene stopped and turned to look at me once more.

"Now that you have to start from scratch, I would like to invite you to join Oblivion. I know you are probably thinking of returning to your old guild, but I want to offer you another alternative that will be more profitable for you."

"I decline the offer. To be honest, I'm still not sure what I'm going to do, but one thing I do know is that I wouldn't be part of Oblivion." Ilene reply.

"I know that Oblivion doesn't have the best reputation, but soon I will be the guild master. I want to change the stigmas of the guild, and for that, I need trustworthy people by my side. And you, Ilene, are one of the few people I can trust."

"If you manage to change Oblivion's ways, it will be good, but I can't help you," Ilene said before starting to walk again, "And tell the people who have been following me these two days to stop. I won't be nice if I notice them again."

So Ilene knew she was being followed this whole time. She never ceases to amaze me.

"I'll come to see you again," I told Ilene as she walked away.

At this point, I can use my skill on another woman besides Amelia. I could use it on Ilene or Syvis, but I still haven't decided who to use first. It will take time for my skill to improve to use it in a third person. On top of that, I'm still worried about the secondary effects my skill causes. I'll see how things go with Syvis before deciding. If I can win her over with Agnes's help, then I will use my power on Ilene. My patience is wearing thin. I'll have to decide soon.

Over the next few days, several things happened. I spent some time with Syvis while Darx was out of town, thanks to her taking care of Mili and probably agreeing to teach her magic. I also found out that, surprisingly, Ilene decided to join the royal guard as a bodyguard for Princess Kathleen. I really didn't expect that since I thought she would join her old guild. However, the fact that Ilene will spend a large part of her time in the castle is not so bad since I being an S-Rank, I often have to go there, and it gives me the perfect excuse to see her.

On the other hand, Gen gave me the information I asked about Darx and his party during his quest. It seems that this group may be a problem in the future if they have as much potential as Gen believes.

More days passed, and today, there is an emergency meeting at the castle. I had to meet Agnes early in the morning at the guild, but I was late, and Agnes left without me. I was leaving the guild alone on my way to the castle when Syvis entered running, and we almost collided at the entrance.

"Syvis! I thought you were already at the castle." I said.

"Let me in, I'm late and need to change."

Syvis looks like she spent the night out as she is wearing the same clothes as yesterday, but more than that, Syvis's big breasts are showing through under her shirt. It looks like she is not wearing a bra. I heard Darx came back from his quest yesterday, so she most likely spent the night with him.

"Go change!" I said, "I'll wait for you so we can go in my carriage."

Syvis seemed dissatisfied but having ****, she accepted.

Little by little, Syvis is letting her guard down. It's only a matter of time until those big breasts are mine.
