Chapter 23 by Ganti
So, anything interesting in the Build Menu?
Given how much there is, a better question may have been "Anything immediately useful".
You blink at the list that pops up, entirely greyed out, and glance at the page count. Right. You quickly switch from pure alphabetical listing to sorted by 'can be crafted'. There's a brief pause, and then you're met with a much shorter list. Most of which is quite a lot of different furniture. Probably going to be useful later, but not what you're actually after at the moment. (You had no idea there were that many kinds of furniture that started with A, honestly) You need much finer control over this menu, honestly.
You spend a few minutes wishing there was a tutorial for this as you fiddle with the menu, eventually finding the 'crafting structures' tab. Armorers forge, blacksmiths' forge, culinary worktable, goldsmiths' worktable, Leatherworkers' workbench, silversmiths' worktable... ah, smelter. That will be most useful. Repairing the tower will require more ingots then you possess. You select it.
Smelter
Produces ingots from ore, ratio depending upon type of metal and purity of ore
10 stone
5 lumber
3 iron ingots
Craft Yes/No
Right. It would hit your stored materials a fair bit, but it was absolutely necessary for any further repairs of the tower. Vaguely surprising that it didn't mention requiring fuel, but you'll cross that burning bridge when you come to it. You head outside, cue up the construction, and set the builder drudges to work.
Your- you suppose you should call it a fiefdom- is beginning to take shape. Now is it time for resources, or time to fight?
