Chapter 22 by Ganti

So, got any bright ideas?

Just one

So. [Lesser Necromancer] was a measure of your personal control over the undead, and [Necromantic Overlord] was for those in your lair and domain. If you were reading this right, you should be able to transfer your personal undead to your lair, maintaining the same effective combat strength while freeing up your personal control for newer, and hopefully more useful, servants.

You close the trap door leading to the summoning circle and enter the main room of the first floor, pulling up your current minions stat sheets as you went. As expected, there was a [TRANSFER] button on there. You press it, shrugging.

Attention: Completing the transfer will bind these minions to your lair- and later, your domain- reverting them to their basic behavior, but freeing your personal control capacity and allowing them to Respawn when defeated. They will still treat those you have designated as friendly appropriately.

Confirm? Y/N

You roll your eyes and pres 'Y', making a note to find a faster way to deal with this. You can't keep playing with the menus each time you need to do this. As soon as the transfer is completed, the Walking Corpses immediately began shambling about the main chamber seemingly at random. Still, four Walking Corpses, a set of drudges, a pair of bats and a necromancer are not the most auspicious of forces. And... you're not dealing with that mess in the basement for now. Maybe tomorrow. Or next week. Or after you get the tower repaired and have more assets to negotiate with.

That... actually sounds like an almost reasonable plan. Get your lair back up to snuff, brush up more on outsiders and their binding, then deal with whoever is in the circle, if it holds long enough. It didn't seem to be having any strain, which was... interesting, given how powerful she seemed to be. You shake your head, dragging your mind back to the task at hand. Stone and lumber for the tower restoration is covered by your Drudges doing their tasks... The trick is the ingots. You don't know if the drudges will bring them back or just ores. Probably ores, if you had to guess, so you'll have to look into what, if anything you can build to deal with that.

So, anything interesting in the Build Menu?
