What happened to Kat and Eliza?
They were teleported.
Eliza frantically looked around, unsure what the hell was happening. She attempted to call out to Kat, but found that no sound came out of her mouth. She could feel a slight stretching sensation in her limbs, along with a sensation of movement. How far or how fast she was moving was a mystery however, unable to concern anything in the pitch darkness. A few moments later her vision returned in a blur of light, which was accompanied by a sharp pain in her ass as she hit the ground.
She groaned out in pain as she waited for her vision to readjust. Kat was standing beside her. Her human disguise began to dissolve, her pale skin converting to pink than finally to red as she took on her demon form. Her tail popped out from under her shorts, which Kat grimaced at uncomfortably. She noticed Eliza on the ground, to which she extended out a hand.
“You alright sweetie?” Eliza nodded her head, taking the hand. It hoisted her up with ease, almost too fast as Eliza began to feel dizzy. Either that or she felt dizzy because of whatever just happened, she was unsure.
“I’m fine, I guess, my ass hurts. What the hell happened?” Eliza rubbed her sore ass cheek, looking around the area. The two women were standing in a smaller room, probably around 10 feet square. The stone walls were a mix of browns and reds, making it look similar to the interior to a cave. Though Eliza could tell that the walls were man made, they were too smooth and the room too square to occur by nature. Under their feet was a black rune like drawing, the etchings looking like burn marks on he ground. The markings looked like the swirl that was spinning around them moments earlier, while around the outside were symbols that Eliza didn’t understand.
"We were teleported, rather forcefully I might add. It's not like them to just snatch you up out of the blue."
"Teleported? Them? Wait, are these the people you were hiding from?" A small dose of panic seeped into Eliza's voice. Though it was thankfully quelled a moment later.
"No, they are different people. I'll tell you later. As for where we are-" Kat opened her mouth to speak, but is interrupted by the sound of grinding rocks. On one wall the outline of a door had appeared, with a section of it sinking into the ground which was the source of the coarse noise. The descending rock had revealed a person standing behind it, though person may have been the wrong word to use. The person's skin was a light baby blue color, a shade that was almost blinding compared to the low lit room. She was a woman as far as Eliza could tell, which was confirmed as the door lowered past her shoulders to showcase a moderate sized chest. Her hair was colored a pasty light pink, curled in a short bob just above her shoulders. A pair of ram like horns came out of either side of her head, curling themselves into a swirl. Eliza spied a pair of glasses on her nose and looked into her eyes, which sent a chill down her spine. There was no pupil or cornea or anything, the entire eye being a solid golden color. A thick tail came into view, swaying back and forth behind her as the wall finished opening.
"Hmm, a human. That's unusual." The woman muttered to herself, eyeing the two woman. She had what looked like a clipboard in her hand, which she scribbled something on. "Are you two alright, you're not hurt are you?" She had a very soft voice filled with genuine concern.
"We're fine." Kat answered. "What's with the forceful summoning anyway? Since when do you just abduct people?"
"I apologize." The woman said, slightly bowing. "It's not usual practice but we were...concerned. You're Katonia, correct?"
"Kat, but yeah. Did I do something wrong?"
"No no. Quite the opposite actually. We actually called you here to make sure you were ok."
"Ok? What do you mean?"
"It's kind of a long story. Please, follow me. Let's find a place more comfortable and I'll explain everything." The woman flashed a smile, stepping to the side and holding out her hand. Eliza gave Kat a questioning glace, who answered with a shrug and made her way for the door. "My name's Skye by the way. What's your name?" Skye asked as Eliza walked through the doorway.
"Eliza." She answered, her voice a little shaky.
"Nice to meet your acquaintance Eliza. Please, this way." Skye turned down the hallway and began walking. The two girls looked at each other then began to follow the blue skinned demon. Skye took each step with grace, her hips swaying side to side. The clothes she was wearing was interesting, as Eliza was hard pressed to call it clothing in the first place. It was a black like substance, somewhere in-between leather and latex. The fabric was skin tight, almost looking like different colored skin or body paint. The only clue to it not being that was around her thighs it came off her body, similar in look to a pencil skirt, and around her chest, which looked like one solid lump. As a whole it looked like a black skin tight dress. The back had an open section, running halfway down the length. The black fabric swirled in unnatural patterns on the inside fringe of the hole, oriented in such a way that would be impossible for normal fabrics to achieve. It actually reminded her to what Kat was wearing when they first met, a black bikini that was formed to her body. It also had the unnatural swirling, being seemingly held in place by magic. Though Skye's attire was much more modest in comparison to Kat's.
The three women walked through the stone hallway until the end, being capped off by a wooden door. Opening it, Skye stood the side and motioned for them to enter, to which they obliged. It opened up to a much nicer looking room. The walls and ceiling were still polished stone, but the ground was covered in a soft carpet. There were a bunch of lounge chairs and couches around the room, seemingly looking like a reception area. Skye closed the door and took a seat in one of the lounge chairs that sat around a small coffee table. Kat chose a small love seat to sit in, sprawling one arm across the back of the couch. There was an open lounge chair opposite of Skye, though Eliza was still somewhat nervous about the whole situation, so she decided to a seat next to Kat. Seeing her nervousness, Kat slid her tail behind Eliza and looped it around her waist in a comforting fashion, which Eliza appreciated.
"So, what's going on? Why did you think I was in danger?" Kat asked, breaking the silence. Skye cleared her throat, looking down at her clipboard for a moment before looking back up.
"Well, during a routine inspection at the aura stone library, your stone had been found to be reactivated."
"Aura stone?" Eliza asked, raising a brow. Kat turned towards her.
"It's kind of like a tracking device, it's synchronized to a person's aura and acts kind of like a locator device."
"Precisely. Your stone was dormant for some time, but since we didn't have any confirmation of what had become of you, we placed you in the unknown condition section just in case, standard procedure. A vast majority of the stones in that room lay dormant, usually staying in there for some time before being reorganized into missing or deceased. Now imagine our surprise when we found that your aura stone had reactivated after all this time, only ever happening a handful of times. So, as an offshoot of that, I have to ask. What happened?"
Kat sighed, shifting uncomfortably in her seat. Eliza could guess that Kat's release from that box was what caused all this. It also seemed that thinking about it made Kat go through a whole slew of emotions, and most of them were unpleasant ones. Her tail was twitching nervously as well, rubbing against Eliza's stomach as Kat gathered her composure. Not sure how to help, Eliza decided to reach out to the heart shaped tipper, clutching it gently in her hand. Kat jerked slightly at the surprised touch, but smiled softly at Eliza before continuing.
"I was...imprisoned in a small box. It was a trap of some sort, a magical prison. I had let my guard down and one of the Hunters got the jump on me." The Hunters? Eliza thought to herself. She wanted to ask, but figured now wasn't a good time.
"I see, that's unfortunate. Well I'm glad you were able to escape." Her eyes turned to Eliza. "Am I rash to assume that it's because of this young lady right here?" Eliza perked up, realizing that she was made into the subject of the conversation. Kat nodded her head.
"Yeah, you're correct. If it wasn't for her I would still be stuck in that thing. I'm still grateful for that." Kat's arm had slid off the back of the couch, placing itself on Eliza's shoulder. Eliza involuntarily blushed, turning her head away in shyness. "I'm still not sure how she was able to break the seal to be honest. I'm pretty sure Sophia would have tried everything in her power to open the damned thing, which obviously failed. Then Eliza came in and broke the seal without even trying, it still baffles me." Sophia? That's my grandmother's name. Eliza stared blankly at Kat for a moment in shock. Though thinking on it, it actually made sense that Kat had some connection to one of her grandparents. Otherwise why would they have had the box in the first place?
"That is very unusual." Skye agreed inquisitively, her eyes looking over Eliza. After a few seconds Skye perks up in a moment of clarity. "Oh, that would explain it. You are newly transformed, aren't you my dear?"
"Uh, yeah. A few days ago." It was then Eliza realized that all of this craziness had happened within only a few days time. It's mind boggling just how different her life had become since her fateful encounter. Skye nodded her head in confirmation.
"That's what I thought. That explains why the summoning circle had brought you here."
"Speaking of that," Kat interjected. "You didn't exactly explain the reasoning behind that. I understand I popped back up randomly, but why summon me?"
"And what about the people that saw us? We were in the middle of a crowd." Eliza added.
"No need to worry, anyone who saw the summoning was affected by a mind wipe spell, it's part of the ritual. As for why, let me continue. When it was found out that you were still alive, we weren't exactly sure how to proceed. This is a very rare occurrence mind you, so there isn't exactly any protocol to follow. We were also unsure of your condition, for all we knew you could have been badly hurt, or just escaped capture, or worse. So after some deliberation we decided to **** summon you just in case of that worst case scenario. I do believe that Eliza here was simply caught up in the crossfire. The ritual we used is usually used for groups of people, so it teleports any Mystic in its area of effect. When I saw a human in the teleport chamber, I was slightly puzzled, but now I see that it worked as intended." Skye continued to nod her head, as if agreeing with her own assessment. With the little understanding that Eliza had, the explanation sounded plausible. "Speaking of that, let me go grab something." Skye shot up from her chair, making her way to a doorway and disappearing from the room. Eliza used the moment of privacy to talk to Kat.
"This is a lot to take in." Eliza said, her head slightly spinning from the culture shock of it all.
"Hey, you're doing fine, you seem to be keeping up. Honestly, I was planning on bringing you here at some point, but not this soon."
"Where is here anyway?"
"Oh, right, I forgot. It's...how do I explain it. In human culture, it can be best described as being an underworld of sorts. Though we simply call it the Home Realm."
"Wait, we're in Hell!?" Eliza looked at Kat wide eyed.
"Not exactly." Said Skye, who had reentered the room and overheard Eliza's surprised response. "That's more of an allegory. It's actually a different plane of existence entirely, but many humans' idea of the underworld is based off this place. Home Realm was created thousands of years ago as a safe haven for all Mystics by a very powerful demon king. You'll recognize the name, as it was created by king Lucifer." Eliza looked at Skye blankly for a second, her brain doing it's best to process all this new information.
"So, those bible stories do have a grain of truth to them. The more you know." She said, more muttering to herself. Skye sat back down besides the pair. Sitting in her lap was a small wooden box, which she handed to Eliza.
"Here, take this."
