"Ariel... does this mean..." Gabriella wonders, staring at the great gemstone gleaming in her hand.

Ariel responds timidly. "Yeah, I guess it... Oh crud."

The Angel that was once our guide gains a glow around his ears; which gleams with a violet hue. Small murmurs can be heard due to our heightened hearing.

"Council... New Threat...Rebirth...Monster." Is all that we hear in the whispers, the voice behind them sounding old and wise.

"Mahcae has called for a meeting of the Pantheon." He looks to you. "Its about your... situation. I'll find out what I can."

He looks back to his sister. "We'll get you properly seated afterwards, Sis. I've gotta go."

She nods silently, still smiling all the while.

Ariel waves and says "Bye, you three. Make sure to get somewhere safe tonight before dark. Tomo might be off-limits for now, but Gabbie knows where the next town over is."

"Bye..." You say, we really need to work on that speaking issue...

Cilla, with uncharacteristic politeness given who she is speaking to, states "So long, God of Martyrs. May you follow the steps of before." and bows her head. "Oh, and can you put in a good word with Lord Machae and Father Ardor for me?"

Ah, wanting favoritism from her patrons.

Ariel gives a wink "Sure thing, Cyclops." and vanishes in a flash of golden light; feathers floating to the earth around where once he stood.

Our one-eyed ally seems to be turning as red as her cloak. "Damn him..."

"You heard Lord Ariel." Gabriella announces, standing tall; seeming more boisterous than ever before. "We make our way to Saltmoore. It is not as well defended as Tomo, nor are the roads, so be on your guard."

Only now do we notice that she has been carrying that stick from before, my bad, which I now can describe in more detail that it is front and center. It is no mere stick, but a staff, or long scepter of sorts. Its smooth figure is indented with symbols, resembling lions, lambs, and men with holes in their chest. At its top, a cone or holster of sorts awaits openly pointed towards the heavens.

Gabriella sees your gaze, and speaks "Oh, this staff is my badge of office, and seeing as I have my brother's Alm..."

She adjusts the staff downwards, allowing her to place the gemstone within the holster. A gleam of golden light shudders through the wood.

"There. That should do it." The Priestess then turns, and begins to walk "We will head back to the clearing near Tomo, then take the road to Saltmoore."

Cilla interjects, pulling a compass from her cloak. "By then, it will be night on the way there. It would be safer to cut through the woods onto the road directly. It is much closer."

Thinking on these words, Gabbie nods in approval. "Fine thinking, Miss Cilla. Lead the way then."

Now Cilla heads in a different direction, followed closely by Gabriella, and you; our balance seeming to finally be regaining some semblance of normality. I assume this walk will take some time... A good time for answers to questions, don't you think?

"Have... Questions..." You say, once more sounding like a drunken oaf.

Cilla pulls papers from her cloak, looking through them excitedly. "Of course you do. I've been marking down each time you've looked confused at a subject. So, which one is it. The Vibrosis, The Pantheon, oh, or maybe you'd like me to explain something at random. Such as the mating rituals of a bird species I discovered last summer."

She turns to you nows, her eye's pupil that of a cat's. "Or prehaps you would like to answer a question of mine?"

Us? Answer a question? A refeshing change of pace. Go for it!

"Answer..." You mutter.
