Fort hotel.

"We get as many weapons and all the ammo we can find." Lisa said. "Then we gather everyone at the hotel."

"Why my hotel?" protested Alma Morgan. "Hasn't it been shot up enough because of you?"

"The hotel is the tallest building in town." Lisa explained. "The roof is flat and has a commanding view of the town and all its approaches. Put a few rifles up there and we can pick off the Lynchers before they even make it inside."

Lisa paused to see what the towns folk thought of her plan so far. Lisa was encouraged to see a few approving nods at her strategy, so she continued.

"Once they make it inside, we can **** them to fight their way up each floor." Lisa continued "We do it right, they'll either pull out or be dead."

The crowd had largely been sold on the plan and were enthusiastically voicing their approval when a new voice was raised.

"This is suicide."

Silence returned to the Painted Lady, and everyone turned to face Silas Burns. Silas stood just at the entrance of his rivals saloon.

"The way I see it," Silas went on "the person they'll want **** on is the deputy. Isn't that so?"

All eyes turned towards Lisa.

"Thats probably true." Lisa said honestly. Not wanting to lie to these people now.

"I propose," Silas suggested "That we, as a town, turn her over to the Black Lynchers when they come back."
