Pathological shyness

Kelly looked at the therapist. She didn't know how to answer that question. It was so blunt, no premises to it, no basic question to slowly worked their way to the grand question of why she had decided to consult a therapist. She felt her cheeks turning red and burning. For an instant, she wanted to pack her thing and leave. Suddenly, Doctor Valentine smiled at her.

"I think I found the problem. You are sweet little shy thing are you not?" Asked the therapist

"Yes!" managed the say Kelly stuttering.

"Good I deduce as much seeing you turned red every time I ask you a question or just to look at you. Tell me you would like to have a normal social life, to meet people even to have a regular boyfriend." asked the therapist.

"Yes" was the only word out of Kelly's mouth.

"Good you need to tell me the truth. Are you a virgin?" asked the beautiful expert.

"No, I had once a boyfriend. Someone I knew for a long time. Our friendship changed in time and we tried to be a couple. We had sex a few time but nothing extraordinary." explained the shy girl.

"Let me guess. He was moving faster than you could cope with everything. Just having sex for you was a big step and he tried to push you further."

"Yes! I wasn't ready to be fully naked in front of somebody or to experiment in sex. After a few months, he left me telling me he had been very patient with me and that he tried to help me emerge from my cocoon but he was a man with need and I couldn't satisfy him. First thing I knew he was with somebody else."

"Poor girl I've heard that story dozens of times. I can help you. Standard therapy could take months but you enroll in my program. I have an experimental therapy that could have result in weeks. What do you say normal therapy or experimental?"
