Sometimes, the road to recklessly flexing one's authority and adopting a certain sort of authoritarian madness begins with the most of innocent of actions. At other times, it springs from trying to cover up your reasons for giving your teacher a blowjob. Doubles found herself in the latter situation, but came up with the simplest solution of them all; she'd stop hiding and take charge! After all, she wasn't in disguise as someone capable of being thrown out in disgrace. "I didn't ask you to do that!" Postucles reminded her. "But more to the point: you're not Clara Fauxbright. You can't fool me! I know you're Doobie, a hopeless student trying to trick me so you can get out of my lecture!"

"What? No!" Guyld argued, still unable to stand back upright and instead leaning back with one palm against the floor, while pointing the other up at the massive chest of the high priestess in an accusatory fashion. Her pointed finger trembled with disbelief and indignation. "That is clearly Clara Fauxbright, the high priestess! Even the Demon Lord's doppelgangers couldn't come up with such a convincing copy! Your behavior and your manner of dress are crude, shameless, and completely unbefitting of the office of high priestess, but you are clearly her! Why in Geod's name are you dressed that way?!"

"That's none of your beeswax, lady," Doubles laughed, crossing her arms and tilting her nose up while smiling boldly. There was no reason for her to fear this random old woman! However, she couldn't remember that long, weird name she'd been given, so the old woman would just be "lady" for now.

"But... What happened? Is it hypnotism? It's a plague, I tell you! The Demon Lord's dark arts plague the streets of our fair city and they must be put to an end! Why, recently, even my dear friend, a respected therapist, was taken in by this vulgar fashion and-"

"Enough! That sounds like a real interesting story that I'd love to hear some other time, but right now, you listen to me, lady! It's not hypnotism; this is what Geod instructed me to do!" the doppelganger continued, throwing her blond hair over one shoulder and bobbing her tremendous breasts beneath the thin, white uniform top. "Isn't that what I wrote in the manual I handed out to all of you? It's okay to do this sort of thing now!"

"But... This... With him?!" Guyld babbled, looking between Clara and Postucles as the color vanished from her face. Postucles once again bristled with offense at the insinuation that he was such an undesirable target for a blowjob. "Th-This can't be what Geod wants! Why would he?!"

"That's not your place to ask! I'm the high priestess, I heard it from Geod! You folks are supposed to be about faith, right? So have some faith!" The fake Clara puffed out her cheeks and pouted, crossing both arms beneath her chest. "Geez... It's not easy being Clara Fauxbright."

"So it would seem..." Postucles agreed, adjusting his spectacles while similarly adjusting his beliefs; he had to accept that this ditzy, blond bimbo was the high priestess. The only thing that'd piss Guyld III off more than going along with these antics was continuing to insist that the woman was a student named Doobie, which, in hindsight, was a pretty poor attempt at a fake name. "Why did you even try to pass yourself off as a student earlier, if you don't mind my asking?"

Doubles knit her brow for a moment and closed her eyes, adopting an expression that pretty clearly showed she was trying to think up an excuse, rather than consulting Geod in prayer. "Uuuuh... Oh! Right. Because Geod told me it'd be sexier if I came in and started doing this as a random student. That let me get into this teeny skirt and top, so I think it worked out better than if I tried to do this in my big robe. I mean, unless you had a huge religious fetish, like one of those nuts who writes erotic stories about nuns all day. Right? Right!"

"Yes, that is a contemptible sort of person, who enjoys fetishizing the religious," Postucles agreed. "A uniform of learning is much better, I'll give you that."

".. Well, I obviously didn't mean it was better because it had anything to do with learning, but whatever! I can't deal with you, dude," Doubles sighed. "Now, as the high priestess... I'm going to issue a new edict! If you two are both devoted to the church, you better follow it, or Geod is gonna be pissed!"

"'G-Gonna be pissed?' What happens when Geod gets... angry?" Guyld questioned, even now still unable to rise to her feet. It was as though her proud stance and dignified character had been completely destroyed by seeing the respected head of her beloved church act like a precocious little slut.

"Nothing good, I'll tell ya that much!" Doubles grinned evilly. "So obey me!"

"Obey what?! You haven't given me any instructions!" the lady shot back, now at least managing to sit up onto her knees and scowl at the supposed head of the church.

"Oh right!" the revered doppelganger giggled, bopping one side of her head lightly with a fist and sticking her tongue up out one side of her smile. "Hmmm..."

The other two inhabitants of the room wore nervous frowns, looking back and forth between each other and the bizarrely transformed head of the church, whose actions now defied both her previous character and common sense in general. As traditionalists, both of them had been nervous when the church and the knight corp issued those bizarre manuals detailing the changes coming; those books had encouraged all kinds of sexual deviancy and debauchery. Whatever Clara had in mind, it probably wasn't something that fit with the proud nature of either Postucles or Guyld...
