Overjoyed and apologetic

"Thank the goddess," you cry. "I thought you were dead."

You and Glenda embrace her without hesitation, mashing the softness of her breasts against your own. Her shoulder and hair smell like her perfume and the scent of rain. She stiffens in your arms at first, but slowly relaxes and returns the hug.

"I'm sorry, sister," you say. "I said such cruel things to you when we parted. You know I have always had deep feelings for you, Ivona, but the--"

She surprises you with a smothering kiss. Her mouth opens and her tongue slips between your lips. Her kiss is as sweet as honey, hot and filling your mouth with her lust. For a moment you forget yourself and your tongue fences with hers. You moan softly against her lips and allow her to press you back against the wall. The weight of her thigh presses between your legs. Her gloves hands push your arms above your head and pin them playfully to the wall. Glenda watches on, speechless. Her mouth hangs open in surprise, and maybe a twinge of arousal.

"What are you doing?"

Ivona's smile has changed.

"Do you ever wonder why the Burning Rose demands chastity?" She leans in and sucks at your tender neck. Her hot tongue traces circles and she kisses her way to your ear. She breathes her words, hot and sweet, against you. "She needs us to be chaste so we will be blind to the world around us. To the possibilities. To the truth. What if I told you, innocent Sabine and sweet Glenda, that everything the Burning Rose stands for is a lie."

Your eyes open wide and you free your hands and push Ivona away. Glenda looks a little alarmed as well.

"How could you say such things? After what has happened at the abbey! The evil there!"

"Do you trust me, girls?" Ivona's blue eyes flash dangerously. This question is weighted with more meaning that it seems.

"I'm... not sure," you answer honestly.

"No, of course you would not be. You know me and you know I always cared for you and yet the doctrines of the Burning Rose have twisted your mind." She glances over her shoulder. "There is an inn up the street, on the lower hill. The Gabled Garden, it's called. A lovely old elf runs it. If you believe me, come and find me there. If you think I am a liar and you do not want to hear any more, then take your sword to the abbey."

She takes a step back and pulls up her hood.

"But if you do that, you will be making a very grave mistake."

She turns and hurries into the shadows of the city, leaving your heart and your faith torn in two separate directions.
