Oh it was just a girl

"What are you looking at?" Asked the unknown voice behind me - i froze in the moment, i knew i was caught in an embarassing act so i had to accept the fact and confront it - i turned around slowly, with my eyes closed for fear that i might be in trouble

The girl chuckled a bit before i could show my face in front of her - when i finally turned to her i opened my eyes and with a worried face i spoke a little bit with a shaky voice "I-i... waass..."

She then started laughing and that's when i noticed her beautiful face - she had a light ginger hair that fell down her head and shoulders like a cascade of beauty, her eyes were light blue, it inmediately made me feel like i was looking at the perfect sky through her eyes but, the thing that was the most memorable was her smile - that warm smile instantly made me feel comfortable, it felt like she was expressing all of her happiness with that smile, and all because i made a silly thing - for that moment, even though it was brief, i felt like i was in home and it was amazing.

After breaking my state of paralysis, i finished my sentence saying "I was just looking around for books and found this one" i pointed to the book that i was holding and proceeded talking "I thought it was curious and... you know, i wanted to check it out" i said now with a smile on my face.

She continued laughing lightly, stared at the backside of the book and then said: "Oh... i see... do you have problems with your girlfriend?"

I was once again shocked but now it was because i didn't know how to answer that question, i tried explaining myself but i was to nervous to do so " N-no, i don't... there are no problems with my girlfriend" i repeated that in my head to realize that i needed to explain further...

"Ah... actually i don't even have a girlfriend" i explained to her, which seemed to surprise her or that's what i could tell by the face she made

"Really? Well that's a surprise" she said with a smile on her face - i got confused for a second while listening to what she just said What? The fuck does that mean? Why is it a surprise? i began to ask myself, clearly i was overthinking it but i needed to act or i would look like a total idiot.

"Yeah, i was just cheking this out because it seemed odd to be here" i said to her

"Oh yes, my bad... people always take books and then don't put them back in the same place..." she replied "As you can see this place is a mess" she continued, pointing her finger to the bookshelf.

I akwardly replied back "Yes, maybe someone has to come here and order the books from time to time"

"I know, sorry... is just that i get distracted sometimes, i try to keep order in here but you know how people are" she said.

I was catched by surprised by this girl and now i'm having a nice conversation with her even though i did something embarassing - maybe i can continue with this and get to know her, but i don't know what to do next.
