Obviously yes.

“Yes, yes, of course yes. Tell me what to do.” You think to the voice.

“Good. First I need a name. I need your true name to send you magic.”

You suddenly realize you have no idea, no, somehow you do know, as it was always there, “Ashlyn.”

“Good, now I sense you are in so much pain your mind has shut your body off. What is wrong, exactly?”

“I am full of evil Slaadi babies. They are about to rip their way out of me.”

“Oh, say no more I know the exact ritual. I assume you are hanging right now?”

“Yes.” You answer.

“Good now give me your voice. Good.” You hear yourself speaking words you don’t understand but you are sure it is a spell meant to purge all infections, infestations, or ailments from the body. You are even pretty sure you can cast it again if needed, though most likely to far lesser extent. When finished black sludge is violently expelled from your entire body, it even oozes from your pores in your skin. When the eruption abates you begin to **** as you see the rope holding your right leg snapped and the one around your neck is now strangling you.

All around you the screaming begins as the other victims aren’t so lucky and you can’t help but think the eventual hanging is in fact a mercy. The chanting of the creepy Slaadi is now deafening.

“You need to shift your weight so I can speak.” The voice says in your head. You swing your free leg and with a wet thwack it hits something and sticks just enough that you can push yourself over and the rope on your left leg groans but holds for now. Again your helper uses your mouth to cast a spell that summons your weapons to your hands. This one you are sure you will be able to cast again. “You know if you had used these when I sent them to you, you wouldn’t be in this mess. Quickly you use the dagger to cut your hands free, the blade of the dagger strong and sharp enough to sever the link in the cuffs holding your hands. Just as your hands get free you watch in horror as all the quick release ropes holding everyone’s legs are let free and the noose around your neck begins to **** the life out of you. Thankfully your neck doesn’t simply snap as you don’t fall like the others because at the last moment you drop your gun and grab the noose as tightly as you can. **** you slash above your head and an instant of weightlessness is followed by another quick spell. A single syllable that slows your fall and you land on your heels. A quick look finds your weapon belt and pistol. You quickly clip the belt on and transfer the dagger to your left hand and pick up the gun. A quick check informs you the gun is loaded and ready.

You are surrounded by **** and madness. The small monsters feeding on anything they can get hold of. You can tell that while thousands may have hatched only the strongest few will be alive when their hunger finally is sated. Trying to kill or save anything here is clearly pointless and you simple yank off the noose and run. It takes a single lucky shot to down the first red skinned frog like Slaadi, and three more to end his companion, the dagger proving to be quite suited for use in defense. The third red beast opens a festering wound in your sexy glistening bronze hued skin before you can plunge the dagger to the hilt with a rising strike to his chin. A spell from your savior is already knitting your body and purging the poison as you meet a pair of red skinned beasts led by one with deep green skin that is wearing clothing.

“I don’t know how you are alive, but I shall soon correct that.” He unleashes a spell that creates a massive bolt of lightning at you. Your body reacts quickly on instinct and you do the most amazing slide, flip, and vault around the bolt and with a quick slash you cut his leg causing his second spell to fizzle in his mouth as he yelps in pain. You unload your remaining bullets into his two guards as they seem confused as to how you got past the lightning. You don’t have time to reload, but the green skin seems unable or unwilling to cast more magic with your relentless attack with your long dagger and you prove to be better with the dagger and a couple of well placed kicks than he is with his claws. Another healing spell fixes the damage he managed to get by your defenses and you are once more running.

The voice leads you to a window hundreds of feet off the ground. “Jump.” The voice says. “Then concentrate on the portal that brought you here and you will be pulled to it.”

From behind you, out of sight, an unknown young sounding female voice calls out, “Wait. Don’t leave me.” Part of you instantly decides it has to be a trap, yet a slight tinge of doubt causes you to consider going to the voice.
