Chapter 15 by Cheesers123 Cheesers123

What does Miranda think of Sarah's plan?

Not much (Sarah's sadistic scheme)

"Hmm, no thanks," Miranda replied, after only a moments hesitation.

"... what?" Sarah asked. She had expected a few different replies from Miranda, but such a simple refusal like she was just turning down another drink wasn't one of them.

"I'm not interested," Miranda shrugged, "I just came here to have a party."

Sarah's mind boggled as she grappled with Miranda's decline. "B-but," she stuttered like Matt, "don't you hate having John follow you around?"

Miranda just shrugged again, before running a hand through her brown hair and tossing it over her shoulder. "I mean, yeah, he's kinda annoying," she admitted, "but it's not the worst thing in the world. I figure he'll just go away on his own eventually." Miranda began to walk around Sarah as she spoke, forcing the red haired girl to have her back to the wall to face her friend.

"Besides," Miranda continued, "it sounds like you don't really care about John and your real beef is with Matt. You don't need me to do anything to get rid of him, you can just suck off Tom yourself if you think that would do it." Miranda's completely blasé attitude had rattled Sarah, to the point that she was silent with her mouth agape for a few seconds before she could say anything.

"You won't tell them though, right?" Sarah asked, her façade of control slipping completely as she sounded like a worried teenage girl again, rather than a Machiavellian mastermind.

Once more, Miranda shrugged. "Nah, like I said, I'm just here to have a party. I don't care about your drama," she chuckled, although Sarah didn't fully trust that laughter to be completely honest. Miranda was her closest friend, she had thought for sure that she could have convinced her to help out with just a single conversation. The casual denial had almost turned her world upside-down.

"See ya downstairs girl," Miranda waved over her shoulder as she began to descend the staircase, disappearing out of Sarah's view even as she tried to comprehend what just happened. That was a fairly disastrous effort on her part, although not as bad as it could have been. Sarah was aware that Miranda was much more sensitive than herself, so she had been a tiny bit worried that her friend would have ratted her out, but that didn't seem to have come to pass. From Miranda's unconcerned attitude, Sarah doubted it ever would.

She just wished she could have sold the plan to her better. Two heads were better than one, after all, and having Miranda backing her up could have really helped. Never the less, the show must go on. Sarah would just have to trust the Miranda would be true to her word about keeping her mouth shut and toil on alone. Unless, there was anyone else at the party whom Sarah wanted to bring into her conspiracy.

This triple upload today includes the result of last month's poll, thank you again to everyone who participated. I'll be honest, this version of Miranda is not the one that I expected to win, but I do have plans in mind for her anyway. If you would like to vote in the next poll, which will be coming sometime in May, or if you just want to support me or see my content early, then please consider joining my Patreon. Every member means a lot to me, and I couldn't do this twice a week without your support.

Does Sarah try to talk to anyone else, or just back to the game?
