Chapter 16 by Cheesers123 Cheesers123

Does Sarah try to talk to anyone else, or just back to the game?

Just back to the game (Sarah's sadistic scheme)

The completely unexpected interaction with Miranda had left Sarah so shaken that she didn't dare to try talking to anyone else. She could have filled Tom in on the exact role she wanted him to play that evening, but now she found herself second guessing what he might say. If she had been asked five minutes ago how he would respond she would have confidently said that he would have been down to get involved for the pussy and for the laughs. Now, that confidence in reading other people had been wounded. Rather than chance another unwelcome outcome, she decided to just quit while she was ahead.

After a brief visit to the bathroom, she wordlessly descended the staircase and went back into the living room. Breezing through the door, she saw that she wasn't the first one back. Miranda having used the bathroom before her, had obviously arrived back before Sarah too. She gave Sarah a warm and normal smile as she walked in, as if Sarah hadn't just spilled her guts to her only to be rejected. Uneasily, Sarah returned the expression, before looking around the rest of the room.

John and Matt were back too, leaning forward to discuss something across the table in low tones, until they noticed Sarah had came back. In unison, they sat back in their seats, Matt giving her a nervous smile of his own in the brief second before he hurriedly looked away. On the table was her wineglass, freshly refilled by Matt just like she had told him to. Presumably, Miranda's full cup on the other side of the table was also his handiwork. Having him at her beck and call did have some perks, at least.

The only people who hadn't returned as she retook her seat were Tom and Nicole. Sarah doubted they had snuck off to hook up, tiny girls with itty bitty tits weren't exactly to Tom's taste, so they would probably be back from whatever they were doing soon.

"S-sorry again Sarah," Matt muttered, "I made your drink just like you wanted, I even chilled the glass in your freezer for a minute. I hope you like it." Without looking at him, she picked it up and took a sip. The wine was as nice as it had been before, and the extra coldness helped it to go down even smoother.

"It's fine," Sarah brushed him off, before fishing out her phone. Usually, she would have chatted with Miranda to pass the time, but right now she didn't feel like talking to her, so scrolling through Instagram would have to do. Luckily for her, she didn't have to kill time for long.

"I maintain that that proposition is preposterous!" Nicole's voice came indignant from the hall. From her tone it was clear she was arguing with someone, and by looking at who else was in the living room it could only have been Tom. "Even if Professor Flores were unmarried, I find it highly unlikely that an intelligent woman such as herself would endanger her entire career just to make 'fuck-me' eyes at an oaf like you!"

Professor Flores was a history lecturer in her mid-thirties. The only reason Sarah knew who she was despite not studying that subject was that a lot of guys on campus wouldn't shut up about her 'cake.' Apparently since her divorce had started she had put on a couple of pounds, and all of them had been directed to her thighs and ass, transforming a respectable booty into an eye seizing badonkadonk.

"I wouldn't be so cocky if I were you," Tom replied, continuing the argument even as he opened the living room door. "Her divorce was finalized a couple of weeks ago, and she's been asking me to stay after class ever since."

"Presumably because you're failing," Nicole shot back, following him into the living room as everyone else looked up to greet them.

"Everything alright Nicole?" John asked, putting his own phone down as Sarah placed hers down on the arm of the couch.

"Fine John," Nicole sighed as she took her seat, "this ignoramus here is apparently minoring in history too and believes he has a chance with the well educated professor just because she made the mistake of looking at him for too long."

"Hey, I never said I had a chance," Tom interjected, cracking open one of the six pack of beers he had brought into the room with him. "I just said I could tell she wanted me. I'm not stupid, I'll wait till I graduate to bang her."

"Oh, what a gentleman," Nicole huffed, "how good of you to look out for her career like that." The two of them had evidently been going at it for almost the entire break, but not going at it in the way that Sarah liked to with Tom, although they were almost as loud. Before Tom could say anything else, Sarah stopped them.

"Save it for later you two, the game's back on," as she spoke she flicked the hat back towards Miranda.

Miranda tried to meet her eye as the hat slid to a halt in front of her, but Sarah looked quickly away, feeling like Matt as she instinctually avoided Miranda's gaze. Miranda's blasé response to her plan had left her hurt, embarrassed, and even a little worried. Miranda had said she wouldn't share Sarah's plan, but the possibility still concerned her.

Miranda had been her most trusted friend, but this unexpected wrinkle in their relationship had damaged Sarah's confidence. She hoped that the distance she felt between herself and Miranda would fade by the end of the night, and that once she had gotten rid of Matt and John then they could both go back to being fast friends.

While Sarah grappled with worries, Miranda just leant toward the hat to carry on playing almost exactly like nothing had ever happened.
