"Well, she's had boyfriends, but she's on a break. Which is why she's with us today. She needed a girls' night."

You nod in agreement as you notice Sam and Kay whisper amongst each other. They seem to be gossiping again, as those two tended to do, frequently. Liz and Simone were rather interested in you and continued to ask you all sorts of questions. You made up a town that you were from, one that you knew that existed, that was too far from here, but close enough that it seemed you could visit for a long weekend.

"Oh Dad, you still get compliments for your cooking! You old man!" Liz laughed to break up the silence. Everyone started laughing and having their own conversations as they cleaned up the table.
