No, don't tell her

You sit there and pretend to think hard before telling her, "No I can't think of anything." You instantly see her face and shoulders drop, and she's not longer smiling.

"Really? You're just going to lie right to my face? I can't even believe you right now, we were having so much fun too." She quickly grabs her phone from your hands as you sit there dumbfounded and she marches up to your room and slams the door shut. You go and try to talk to her but she's propped something against the door. "Go away I need some space to think about things she yell through the door."

You decide to not push your luck. She must have already known about what Jessica did. You sit down on the couch and yell at yourself for being such a idiot as you turn on the tv to pass the time till she's ready to talk to you. About a hour later you're starting to get worried when there's a knock at your door. You open the door and see Jessica staring at you with a disappointed look on her face.

"God you're dumb," was all she said.

"I know, I know. I didn't really think too much about it, I wish I could go back." She then suddenly reaches up and flicks you hard in the head.

"Ouch!" It stings.

"I had to make sure you still had a brain in there. Did you really think I didn't tell her, we're friends now. You've got to think before you say stuff, not after." You start to rub where she flicked you.

"Are you just here to insult me? Because I've been doing a pretty good job feeling bad about this without you here."

She quickly retorts, "No, I'm here to try and clean up your mess. Since you've been my friend for so long I'm going to do my best to help you out in there. If I didn't know you, you'd be in trouble letting me in there." You realize you're going to need any help you can get. As you move to let her in you notice someone else was behind her. "Oh this is my new boyfriend Chet, he decided to come along. Jane seemed to like him so figured couldn't hurt to bring him along." Chet gives you a head nod as he passes you but doesn't say anything. He looks like Jessica's typical type, so you wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the last time you ever meet him.

You assumed he was just going to hang out with you out here but he doesn't even seem to question where he's going as he follows Jessica up the stairs. You hear the door open and shut behind your new guests. You just drop you head as you hope this gets taken care of painlessly. Jessica pokes her head out of the door. "Oh and you better not try and eavesdrop, all bets are off if we even think you are. In fact turn the tv up loud so we know you can't hear anything at all."
