Chapter 5 by iReed iReed

Where do we pick up this story?

Next morning with RWBY

Ruby knew it was approaching springtime, as she woke up enjoying the morning sunlight being cast into the room. It was much better than an alarm clock. She had not been a fan of waking up and getting ready for school when it was still dark out. Not at all.

She hopped out of bed and got started on her morning routine, idly thinking about the day ahead of her, as well as what transpired last night.

They had foiled another dust robbery, committed by none other than Roman Torchwick. At least, they thought it had been another dust robbery. There were a lot of crates that he was shifting, which they assumed to be full of dust. That seemed pretty in-line with Torchwick.

Even so, he had got away, unfortunately. Ruby imagined that this would lead to another reprimand from Glynda, once the Beacon faculty inevitably found out.

Still, Ruby wasn't going to let herself get distressed or worried. Not on a lovely day like today.

Having got ready for the day, she cast open the window, breathed in a big gulp of spring air and assuredly said;

"What a terrible day. I hate the Spring. Huh?"

She hadn't meant to say that, had she? She loved the Spring...

Well, love was a strong word. It was good for getting her up in the morning, as the days began to get longer and it being the season of new life was cute, but the season itself wasn't THAT special to the girl.

Still, it was a great day. Ruby didn't know why she had said it was terrible...

Except, she was going to be punished by the school for doing a good deed, which sucked. Good weather wasn't really enough to give the entire day an A+.

The weather in Spring wasn't even that great. Summer was far warmer, and she'd get to see her family around then and Winter too. Autumn had some good holidays and the autumn looked so beautiful. Spring was a pretty nothing season, now that Ruby had time to think on it. Really over-rated, too.

Huffing, Ruby closed the window again. Ruby was right: she hated the Spring. She made to get her team up, a little more subdued.

It was going to be a terrible day.

What's next?
