Next day at work

Come the next morning, Brooke came into work early, Logging straight in and going over what she done the previous day to make sure she remembered how to do it. Eventually, other started to arrive. slowly at first before that a steady stream and then the only just in time straggler. Jamie took his seat and set himself up. "You're here early. Couldn't sleep?"

Brooke looked around, then leant in. "I need a favour from my dad so I came in early to mske time ahead, Have you seen him yet. Thought he would've said morning to his own daughter,"

"Can't say I have. No. Trying to butter him up hey. What you after?"

"Oh you know me so well." Brooke smiled. "I want to get something for the halloween party. But I want you to come with me. I want your help in deciding what to go as."

"I'm not really all that with fancy dress if I'm honest." Jamie stressed. But looking like he knew he would let her down if he said no. "I'll help you out sure, but I'd rather not dress up."

"Oh please. It would mean a lot to me. I value what friendship we've built in just a single day. Secondly, If you did, then other might be more inclined to. I'm hoping you'll be the domino that knocks the others over."

"Interesting metaphor." Sitting back in his chair resign to the fact that he'd have to go as something now. "There's you dad now." Jamie nodded towards the main corridor.

"Here goes nothing." Brooke stated bfore getting up heading to her dads private room. When she got there, she closed the door behind her and turn to face her dad. "Morning daddy."

"You're after something aren't you princess." Brooke smiled and lowered her head. "What you after then? I know you too well Brooke."

"Well, you know this party we're gonna have here soon. I need some time to get a fancy dress costume. I've heaerd of this place in carnaby street but some of their stuff is made to order so need to get there asap. I came in early to make time up so can leave early."

"Well. I suppose if you've done your hours for the days, then that'll be ok. Don't make a habit of it though."

"Thanks dad. But." Brooke paused. "I want Jamie to come with me. So can you let him have time of too. Keep it quiet from everyone else though. Please dad. You know it's important to me, I just want people to know the real me."

"Okay, Just don't let people take adventage of your softness like you usually do, got it."

"Okay dad. Thank you." Brooke returned to her station next to Jamie. Smiling from ear to ear. "Done. We can leave at 15:00. Thank you for coming with me." Jamie just replied no problem and they continued with their day. Quickly it passed as once again Jamie and Brooke's interaction was extremely pleasant and sometimes fun, and soon they was on the tube to the west end. Quickly the costume shop was in their sights and they went straight in, No one was in there. Only the man behind the counter, Who nodded and welcomed them in. Brooke Just turned to Jamie. "Pick what you want. I'm buying. No arguements." Jamie just smiled and shook his head. They both went in seperate aisles and drifted together on a couple of occasions. Finally, Brooke stopped and thought. The idea hit her that she was with another person and called Jamie over. "I've just had an idea. Why don't we team up."

"Team up. Go as the same thing."

"No. Did you see the ones over there on that catalogue? The ones that are made to order. There's some really good looking ones in there. So I was thinking, You could go as a werewolf, it has a full mask so you can stick your middle finger up at my dad like you've always wanted to."

"You know what. I think you've just sold it to me." Jamie joked. "What about you?"

"I've saw this really sexy little red riding hood one in there. That sort of team." Jamie was thinking a bit further about it. Brooke filled in more detail. "You'll get to see me in fishnet stockings."

"Okay. Let's do it, Before I change my mind." Jamie said and they headed to the counter to place their orders, All they had to do from that point was to wait for the deliver to come.
