New Horizons

Nadia quickly throws on some clean clothes, and you both leave the house. She's giddy and happy and a thousand other things - it's been a long time since you've seen her so happy. It really does seem that you are fulfilling something within her. You talk about Mia on the way to the Rice Room - where she will stay, how it will work. You both agree that Mia should stay in Karina's room, so you decide to pull down the old bed frame from the attic and set it up for her tomorrow. Tonight she'll have to sleep on the couch.

The journey to the Rice Room goes by quickly, and soon Dmitri is greeting you at the door. You shake his hand, a gold cord bracelet on his wrist shimmering in the light. You never noticed it before.

"Oh, she's at the bar, I think. You'll see her."

You nod and continue inside, Nadia trailing behind. Ana is there, behind the bar.

"Ana - can we talk somewhere?"

A blush roses her cheeks. She knows why you're here.

"Sure, we can talk in the back."

You and Nadia follow Ana into that same back room from last night, in the rear of the Rice Room. Nadia can barely contain her excitement, giggling and cracking jokes with Ana. As you enter the room, your cousin closes the door behind you with an audible clang of finality.

"So, what's up?" she asks, turning back to you. "You seem awfully excited."

"Ana," Nadia begins. "I talked with Lev... we have something we want to ask you." She looks to you.

"Nadia and I want you to be with us. Like, really be with us. In a relationship."

"Together?" Ana asks, confused. "You mean, like go on dates and stuff?"

"Yes. The three of us, dating, seeing where it goes. It's a new horizon, Ana," Nadia rushes out. "And it was my idea, not his. I want this Ana, and I know you do too. So try it with us, please? It's something I've wanted for so long, but I've only recently had the courage to realize and open up about it. And I know Lev wants it now, too."

Ana pauses, thinking. "Well, I can't say I ever expected you to say those words... I was even a little shocked by what happened this morning. But you're sure? Nadia, this is what you want?"

"More than anything."

With a sly look in her eyes, Ana closes the gap between her and Nadia. Her arms wrap around your wife's waist, and she pulls her close. Their lips connect in a tantalizing union. Your phone vibrates in your pocket.

"Don't worry, dear. We'll figure it out together," Nadia says, wrapping Ana in her arms and pulling her into a hug again. "How about you come back over tomorrow? We can have lunch together. What do you say?"

"I'd like that," Ana says.

"Me too," you answer.

Another kiss and Nadia breaks away from your cousin. Ana struts across the room to you, swaying her hips for your wife, and plants a warm kiss on your lips. "But for now, we need to get back to work, lover boy."

Plans set for tomorrow, the girls make their way out of the back room, while you linger behind to check your phone. With a rising knot in your stomach, you open the app.
