New Friends

You both headed out, checking out the the different buildings in the sect. It didn’t take long, as there weren’t to many buildings to see. You both started to head back to the dining hall to eat, although you could both go weeks without it, it was still unpleasant to go more than a few days without eating. Inner court disciples such as you and Qian could be seen as true representatives, and would most likely stay as members in some form. Then two inner sect disciples approached you both. Using your star piercing gaze you see that they both are at the third level of the true spirit realm.

“You must be new here, My name is Mao Zemin. This lovely woman is my partner Song Shu.” Mao says, putting his arm around her.

“I’m Ichicka Yang! This is my partner Qian Rong!” You say, doing the same, which makes her blush.

“It’s nice to meet you both! I hope that we can become friends. It’s been awhile since we had people we can talk to.” Says Song, causing you to furrow your brow. Mao picks up on it and replies before you can.

“You see most of the inner sect disciples have formed couples, and aren’t open to having fun with others. Since we all mostly spend our time cultivating, we rarely get to see the other’s.” Mao explains.

“I see! So what you mean to say is you want to cultivate together?” You ask.

“Well we would, but we’d be happy if we could just be friends to.” Song says, worried that you would reject their friendship. This makes you chuckle though.

“Don’t worry so much, we’d be glad to cultivate with you. I just wanted to be clear. We first need to eat though, so how about we eat first, and we can get to know each other better.” You say, making her calm from her anxiety. You get food, and eat with them. You discuss various things about each other, and it comes out that Qian is pregnant.

“Wait! You’re pregnant? Congratulations! Although I’m surprised you let yourself get knocked up.” Song said.

“I didn’t know the contraceptive technique at the time. I only learned about it from Elder Yun when he figured out I’m pregnant. I’m still learning the technique.” Qian replies, slightly embarrassed.

“Well at least you have time to master it, before you can get pregnant again.” Said Mao.

“I always wanted a child anyway. I had already accepted becoming a mother. I’m only practicing the technique, so that I don’t get pregnant to soon after this one.” Qian says.

“Well I’m glad that’s what you want. So you know, a section of the training hall is actually a daycare, as it isn’t uncommon for those with children to join, or for a disciple to forget to use the technique. That way you can train or cultivate when you need to.” Song explains.

“So have you two thought of having kids?” You ask. They both seem a little surprised from the sudden question.

“Of course We thought about it! In fact, we have a game going to see if he can pound me so good I can’t use the technique. Since cultivators are quite fertile, it was d only take one slip up, and I’d be bearing child. He hasn’t succeeded yet of course.” She says, making Mao blush.
