Neo happened to be listening in

"I agree with Ruby," Weiss said, "I don't want to study this. It would be a bad idea to be cautious."

"I'm not scared at all," said Blake, rising from her chair and throwing her fists into the air abandonly, "I'm so so not scared. I'm so happy my mind is changing."

"Let's go back to our rooms, shall we?" Yang suggested, feeling a certain uneasiness. Certainly with Team JNPR right there.

"Girls, what has got into you?" Pyrrha seemed genuinely worried and freaked out. This had just been any other day. What possessed them to act like this?

"Are you guys ****?"

"**** are cool," Ruby said, on reflex.

On the adjacent table, all by herself, a little woman was eavesdropping on all of this. It was a common activity she kept up for a while: spy on the troublesome Team RWBY. She certainly hadn't expected today to take such a... bizarre but interesting turn.

The twerps had all gone collectively mad and have started saying things they'd never usually say. She'd have to tell Roman about this.

She sent a quick text to her partner, thinking nothing of it, but kept her ears on the Team in question, deciding it might be worth following after them, to see where this'll go.

Roman woke up to the sound of a *chirp* coming from his scroll.Looks like he had a text. It was either one of his contacts or Neo, he reckoned. Texts weren't Cinders style. She always preferred the up-close and personal treatment.

Looking at the scroll, with mild effort, Roman read and re-read it a few times before he suddenly widened his eyes and arose.

"Team RWBY were all acting weird," Roman said aloud, "Saying things they normally wouldn't and acting crazy together. What does she mean by that?"

Roman thought this may just be nothing, but maybe not. Casting his mind back, he suddenly remembered that book that he found yesterday. He had written something about Red and her team in it, hadn't he?

Rushing back to the desk, in which the book lay, closed and unassuming, Roman raced to get the book open as quick as he could. Sure enough, he found his passages:

Whenever Team RWBY voice an opinion out loud, they will say the opposite of what they had intended.

When a member of Team RWBY says the Opposite Opinion, they will slowly start to believe it as their own.

Saying things they shouldn't. Acting crazy. Yep. That adds up.

There was no way he had caused that, was there? Should he even be concerned or amazed? Even amused?

By the sounds of it, they were already suffering for all the torment they've given him for the past few months.

Maybe a little bit more wouldn't hurt.
