Chapter 10 by IGankMid IGankMid

What's next?

Marigold fights her inner voyeur.

With x-ray specs, following behind Kiona was much more stressful than it used to be.

Marigold knew she had to resist the temptation to peek under her friend's costume. She was a good girl. A great girl, actually. Never been in trouble with the teachers. First in line for communion, at least until she'd slacked off on going to mass. Even way back in girl scouts, she'd been first in her troop for merit badges and a top cookie pusher (it was the eyes that always did her customers in).

But all that was put to the test when, if she wanted to, she could stare at Kiona's amazing body all day and no one would know.

At first, she convinced herself it was to test if the glasses actually worked. Just a quick twist of the dial, and poof, Kiona's costume disappeared, leaving her in just those oh-so-tight sports undies. Then a peek turned into a nice, long look. Marigold was simply mesmerized by Kiona's muscles. Kiona wasn't ripped like a guy- even for her, there were limits- but every time she took a step, that little flex of her butt and sway of the hips was just too wonderful for Marigold to do anything but stare right at it.

Kiona stopped suddenly to make way for a cart. Marigold plowed right into Kiona's invisible jetpack, bounced off, and landed flat on her butt.

"You okay back there?" Kiona called back.

Wincing, Marigold flicked her glasses off as quick as she could. "F-fine!"

"You don't look fine," Kiona said. "You're all red and sweaty."

"I-I'm fine, I..."

Marigold looked Kiona in the eyes and felt a pang of guilt.

No. No, she was not fine.

"You're right," Marigold sighed. "I... I just need to take a break."

"Careful not to get Con plague," Kiona said. She extended her hand and helped Marigold up to her feet. "Not on your first day. That would really put a dent in our weekend, wouldn't it?"

"Yeah..." Marigold said. "I... I'll sit down for a bit."

"You want some Aleve?" Kiona asked softly.

"N-no, it's not that." Marigold reassured her. "I think... it's just nerves. Yeah."

"If you say so." Kiona straightened up. "Well, no one will think less of you if you need to go back to the hotel and lie down for a bit. Just call me if you want to meet up later, okay?"

Marigold nodded. "Okay!"

Kiona gave a lazy salute and soldiered off to find more merch. Marigold watched her go longingly. It was for the best. It had to be.

With that, Marigold headed to the water fountain. She needed a drink. Badly.

What happens at the water fountain?
