Chapter 3 by Caesar25 Caesar25

How will you spend your time? (you can choose 3 of them, before the next incident happens)

Learn how to fight

{if Lord Michael = true } As your husband goes on his daily duties, you decide to train your fighting skills. {endif} When you wake up you walk out to the training field and try to work on your skills. {if Erik = true } You ask Erik to train you. {if Strength = 1 } He isn't convinced you would ever be a great fighter... But remembers his encounters with the viking shieldmaidens a from his youth... He agrees to train you, but suggests to use a dagger, rather than a sword, as it would be too heavy for you to wield. {endif}{endif}

{if Erik = false }{if Strength = 1 } You watch your knights do their training and decide to try and copy them. You can't wield a sword or lance, but the dagger fits you. You quickly learn the basics of combat and try to do better every day.{endif}{endif}

A woman with proper self defence is always safer than one that relies on bodyguards to protect her all the time. Your small and slim body allows you great flexibility with the blade and it improves as you spend the days with hard training. Even if you never even get close to beat Erik, your strength and skill with the dagger grows with each passing day.

Learning how to fight isn't a common thing for medieval women... Your servants look oddly at you when they see you wielding a dagger... "She will just get herself killed one day..." they all think... But you will be able to protect yourself from danger with good training. However, if you spend all your time on just fighting, your soul will erode over time... Remember: "The quill is mightier than the sword"!

How will you spend your time?
