Launch them into the Moon

Before the statues can launch a counter attack or even properly regroup, you've gathered them all into a massive wrecking-ball-sized wad of glistening metal. This you then proceed to punt into the Moon with a single laborious heave. The resulting dust cloud could almost be seen on Earth with normal eyes.

Sophie: "That's gonna need an explanation or two. Hope they'll at least name the crater after me."

The threat isn't over. Gold statues don't just start running amok on their own. Next up you're gonna have to find out the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

With your newfound super vision you toggle between some of the invisible ranges of light to see if there's any odd radiation or signals flying around. Something very strange indeed catches your eye - the entire neighbourhood is covered in a strange undulating wave of green signals, originating from the nearby mountains. Courageously, perhaps even foolishly, you immediately fly over to investigate.

These strange signals have a clear point of origin - a concealed cliffside antenna, which you snap like a twig to prevent any further incidents from arising. Your x-ray vision reveals a large hollow cave inside of the same mountain.

Sophie: "This must be the villain's lair! Let's see if their henchmen are tougher than those glamourous golems."

The entrance to this lair isn't nearly as well hidden as the antenna: a massive set of double doors made out of pure tungsten carbide. There's no doubt that it's thicker than many a driveway is long. You hover over to face the gargantuan gray wall, inspecting it.

Sophie: "Phew. This is what they thought could stop a superhero like me? Pathetic."
