Fucking great! I knew I shouldn't have gone out. Something always happens to ruin my day. Stupid ass magic shop and its stupid ass shopkeeper.

Finally home once more, Xander threw his stuff in a corner and lay on the couch. Well, finally may be a strong word to use here. In reality, he'd gone straight home after his small incident at the magic store. For Xander that may as well have been an eternity though.

Hours later, once he got bored of mindlessly watching random videos, he remembered he bought something. Yes, only now did he deign to give his purchase any though.

Might as well go and check it out, since I already bought it and all. Maybe there'll be some actually cool shit inside, but I doubt it.

After rifling through his bag for a minute, he pulled out the small-ish rectangular box he'd bough. There was nothing that special about it, just a plain box. Not even any markings on the package to interest a potential buyer. The only reason Xander knew it held a magic wand is because the lid fell off when he knocked it over in the shop.

Alright, let's see what treasures you're hiding inside.

The inside was a bit fancier than the plain outside of the box. The whole of it was covered with soft satin. And there, nestled within the fuzzy sea of crimson velvet, lay a simple magician's wand.

Yes, that was it. No sparkles, no fancy golden stick, especially not one of those wooden wands from an unnamed magic academy by a disgraced author. No, the wand inside the box was a plain 'modern' magician's wand. Just a simple black stick with white tips at both ends.

Ah, should have known it'll be nothing fancy. Don't know why I got my hopes up. Still, it could be fun to swing it about for a bit, pretend I'm a wizard and all that.

What the hell, why not? It's not as if there's anyone around to judge me.

With that, Xander took hold of the wand and swung his hand around, pretending to cast spells.
