Chapter 94 by Darx00
What's next?
Kase's Departure Part 10
The impact from our fall left us with some injuries, although nothing fatal, thanks to Syvi's quick thinking softening a fall that was deadly. However, now we have other issues. The cold here is even more ****. I can feel the chill in the air gnawing at my body. What's more, the place here is rather dark too, and the only light there is a dim blue light from a few large blue stones scattered throughout the cave walls. This blue light is barely enough to navigate through the area, and it adds an eerie atmosphere to the already dark surroundings. I wonder what those rocks even are.
After getting Syvis out of the sand trap that she created to break our fall and after getting rid of her magic bag by throwing it off the cliff to get rid of her potions, I laid Syvis down on the ground covering her with my sleeping bag and putting my magic bag under her head as a pillow while I patiently wait for her to wake.
As I sat beside her, my heart was still pounding from the adrenaline. I couldn't believe I had just risked my life like that for her. The fear of losing her clouded my mind at that moment, and I just acted. I threw myself into the abyss without thinking about the consequences, and all I wanted was to save her. I guess I love Syvis more than I thought. I doubt I would have done something like that for any other woman.
The satisfactory thing is that risking my life will now have its reward. We are alone, isolated from the rest of our party. This circumstance presents an opportunity I have yearned for. I'm alone with Syvis without her having access to her potions. I know the bond between Syvis and Darx still holds strong, but I'll break that soon. Now I'm sure that Syvis is the woman I want by my side, and I'll do whatever it takes to get her.
While waiting for Syvis to wake up, I checked the cave with my [Predatory Eye]. I can see some monsters that aren't close enough to where they are to cause a problem for me, but going up from where we are could be a problem since we would inevitably have to go through where they are. Looking at the bottom of the cave, I no longer see monsters, but I don't think it's a good idea to move forward, either. I can finally see the bottom of the cave. We are close to it. Under normal circumstances, I would think that it is the perfect opportunity to reach the goal first, but something tells me that I shouldn't. Whatever is at the bottom of this cave, I feel like I'll need the rest of the party.
"Gnm..."
"Ah, Syvis, you're awake," I say after seeing Syvis waking up, "How are you feeling?"
She blinks a few times, disoriented, before her gaze focuses on me, "W-What happened?"
"We fell a long way, but luckily this bridge saved us from falling even further down. Tell me, how are you feeling? Are you hurt?"
"I'm... alright, j-just a bit shaken..." Syvis's brows furrow with concern as she takes in our surroundings, "How long was I ****? What happened after we fell?"
"You were **** for about one hour, and as you can see, we are in quite a dilemma," I reply.
*Monster Noice*
"What was that?" Syvis asked as she stood up in alert.
"Don't worry, I already checked the area with my [Predatory Eye], and there are no monsters nearby; Although, it would be better if we don't stay on the bridge and enter one of the cave corridors," I continued, "One of the flying monsters could attack us at any time if we stay here."
At that moment, Syvis seemed to notice that her magic gag was missing. Hysterical, she began to move from one side to the other, looking for her magic bag.
"Where is it? W-Where is my magic bag?" Syvis was panicking as she frantically searched for her magic bag, "Where is it?" She cried out, her voice trembling with fear. "I can't find it! No! No! K-Kase, my magic bag is not here!"
"I haven't seen your bag. It must have gotten caught on one of the rocks as we fell." I reply.
"W-We have to go find my bag!"
"Syvis, calm down!" I said, trying to calm her down, "It's not possible to do that. We don't know if the bag stayed on the bridge, if it got stuck on one of the falling stones, or if your bag is at the bottom of the cave. Whatever the truth, we can't move from here for now."
"W-What? Why not?"
I explained to Syvis that there are monsters above, and it's also not a good idea to go down any further since it's the bottom of the cave, and we'll most likely find something dangerous.
"If you don't want to accompany me, I'll go alone." Syvis said, starting to walk through the cave.
"Syvis! ...Syvis, wait! It's not a good idea to move from this place!" I said while I followed her.
Syvis is smart and quickly realized that she is in a sticky situation. The potion she drank before the fight is about to wear off, and she knows it. Syvis must know, after seeing how much we fell, that it'll be at least a couple of days before our party can reach us, leaving us alone for that time without access to her potions. With the false hope that her bag is on the broken bridge and someone from our party will bring it to her when in reality, little does she know, I chucked her magic bag into the bottom of the cave, this will only go well for me.
After lighting the cave with magic, Syvis took a path that seemed to go up. ****, she walked at a fast pace, ignoring my words to stop. Until soon, we come to a large area with five uphill paths.
"This can't be..." Syvis muttered.
It seems that several of the paths end at this point.
"Kase, what is the way back? Use your skill to see which is the path that leads us to the bridge from where we fell." Syvis said, looking and sounding more ****.
"Syvis, you already know my skill doesn't let me see the right path. I can only see things that emit heat at long distances, and you know that this place has a strange trap that, no matter which way we go, will return us to this point. There is no way to go back. The best thing we can do is wait at this point for the others to arrive. Then go to the bottom of the cave where we most likely will find a way to deactivate that trap and thus be able to get out of here."
"Shit, shit!" Syvis started pacing back and forth, looking more frustrated, "T-Then my magic bag might be at the bottom of the cave. I have to go down and find it."
Before she ran away, I rushed and stood in front of her, blocking the way, "Syvis, think about it for a second. You must have realized by now what kind of place this is. This place must have been created so that nothing that goes in can get out. Whatever the people of [Zrephia] wanted to keep locked up in this place, ...if it's still even alive, is not something you and I can just deal with alone. We have just fallen from a great height, and neither you nor I are fit to fight. Let's wait for the others to arrive, for Celeste to heal us and thus be able to find a way out of this place."
"Kase, I'm not asking you to come with me. You stay here if you want. I won't wait." Syvis said, looking mad.
Syvis isn't thinking straight. This can be a problem. Syvis tried at that moment to pass me, but once again, I moved and got in the way, not letting her pass.
"What do you think you're doing?" Syvis said, looking even madder.
"I won't let you throw your life away," I reply.
"Kase, you already had your fun with me! Isn't that enough? Do you still want more from me? Stop getting in my way!"
"Do you think that if I just wanted to have fun with you, I would have thrown myself into the abyss, risking my life to try to save you? Don't think so little of me, Syvis. I risked my life because I love you, and now I will stop you from doing something crazy for the same reason."
Syvis clenched her fist tightly and, quite annoyed, replied, "Do you think me stupid? The only thing you want is to fuck me, once the effect of my potions wears off. I-If I can't find my magic bag, I won't be able to... to..."
Lying to her will be pointless at this point.
"Yeah..., I would like to fuck you. But if that was the only thing I wanted, don't you think I would have already done it!? Knowing what I know about you and your potions? ... It still seems that you don't believe me, but I am very grateful for what you did for my sister. It's a debt I owe you that I may never be able to repay. Then spending time with you, I really fell in love with you, and that's why I risked my life for you. I'm not just planning on simply sleeping with you. I want you to choose me over Darx.
Syvis seemed surprised by my words. She twitched her eyebrows and looked away. Then after a moment, she stood up straight and stared at me.
"Kase, what you feel is irrelevant to me. The only man I love is Darx, and he always will be. What I have done up to this moment with you is unforgivable. I can't keep doing it. I hate my body for making me do these things. My Dark Elf blood has cursed me my whole life, and now it may cost me my relationship with Darx. I couldn't even look him in the eye... I-I can't keep doing this to him."
This woman... her constant display of love for Darx is starting to irritate me. How many times will I have to be humiliated by her rejection? But you're lost, Syvis. There's no way you're escaping me this time. And it will be you who asks for my cock.
I continued hiding my frustration and trying to make her see reason, "Maybe that's true for now, but you and Darx are not destined to be together, and you know it. Darx will never be able to accept you as you are. What will he say when you tell him what you and I have done? Do you think he would forgive you? Even if you tell him it was not in your power to control your own body, do you think he will accept your reasons? He will never be able to do it! Only I can accept you as you are and please you in every aspect! Even if he is the one you love right now, you must realize you need a man like me by your side. Someone with power and influence who can protect and support you in everything and, even more so, who knows how to accept you. Syvis, don't risk your life to try to protect something that is destined to fail."
Syvis's eyes flashed with a mix of determination and frustration, "I won't fall for your words Kase! I won't waste my time talking to you anymore! I will go find my magic bag and face whatever is at the bottom of this place and put an end to all of this at once. If you get in my way, I'll have to take you away by ****."
Syvis is not thinking things through. She is too **** to reach her magic bag. Persuading Syvis with words alone might not be enough.
"You're leaving me **** Syvis. I won't let you die foolishly even if I have to **** you." I said in a firm voice.
Syvis wasn't playing, either. She took out her book and prepared to attack, "If that's what you want, then come at me!"
With a swift motion, I vanished into the shadows, activating my [Silent ****] skill.
Syvis raised her book, her grip tight and a flicker of determination in her eyes as she called forth her three elemental summons.
I quickly used my [Predatory Eye] skill to ensure no enemies were nearby. I don't want a surprise attack. Luckily, no nearby enemy left me to focus on stopping Syvis.
Syvis knew it's impossible to detect me, but she countered that by using her fire summon, which started to create a fire tornado around her, that started to get wider. No matter where I am, I will be trapped between the cave walls and the fire sooner or later.
Not bad, Syvis. Not many adventurers are smart enough to use their environment to their advantage.
With a swift motion, I hurled my dagger toward the fiery figure, aiming to destroy it and thus stop the tornado of fire. However, Syvis anticipated my move, her water elemental conjuring a water barrier around the fire summon, intercepting the dagger.
Shit!
I don't want to use any of my deadly skills, so I'll have to use other methods.
[Deadly illusion]
This skill allows me to create up to 10 illusions of myself that can attack with any skill I possess. They last 10 seconds and then disappear, which is more than enough time. I don't like to use this skill in front of people, but no one here except Syvis can see it.
I let one of the copies get hit by the fire tornado and, by doing so, make it visible, then fall to the floor. The fire summon canceled the fire tornado; so that the earth summon would attack what Syvis thought was me.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, I wanted to destroy the fire summon, which was the one that could give me more trouble.
[****]
However, Syvis was quick to react. I don't know how she noticed, but she conjured another shield of water, deflecting my dagger just in time protecting her summon. Flames erupted from her book as she retaliated with a fierce fireball, aiming to catch me off, guard.
I dodged her attack, but more fireballs coming out of Syvis's book attacked me one after another mercilessly.
Wow, it's the first time someone reacted to one of my attacks like that when I'm invisible.
I unleashed [Deadly illusion] again, creating a multitude of illusions that surrounded Syvis. Confusion filled her eyes as she tried to distinguish between the real me and my illusions. It was an opportunity I couldn't waste. Syvis and her summons attacked my illusions without realizing that I was still invisible. In a swift motion, I closed the distance between us, but Syvis, in a display of incredible reflexes, erected a ground pillar, deflecting my blow behind her neck.
S-She managed to dodge me again...! It's hard to find opponents that give me trouble. A part of me reveled in the adrenaline and the thrill of combat, while another part yearned for a quick resolution.
The moment my foot touched the ground, my foot was submerged in mud, which quickly hardened, leaving me trapped.
"You won't escape!" Syvis yelled as her fire and earth summons attacked me simultaneously.
Being an S-Rank, I have enough strength to escape this trap with brute ****, but any other adventurer would have been trapped there and would have a certain ****. Syvis is amazing! It doesn't matter what I do, each strike was met with a counter. Not only her abilities as an A-Rank, but all her experience made her able to face an S-Rank like me on equal ground. Even if I had the intention of killing her, I think the pace of the battle wouldn't have been too different.
It would have been an even more exciting fight, but Syvis's injuries from the fall, which were more serious than mine, and the horniness that she must be feeling now that she was no longer under the potion's effect for quite some time must have started to take its toll on her. It was not easy at all to stop Syvis, even with those disadvantages she had, but in the end, I achieved my goal and left her ****. Still, she also managed to hurt me several times.
As the dust settled and silence filled the cave, I stood beside Syvis's **** body.
Wow, Syvis is much stronger than I expected. And I have the feeling that she was holding back, apart from the fact that the potion's effects must have already worn off, and her hornyness must have been distracting her. I'm sure among A-Ranks, she is one of the strongest. I didn't want to seriously hurt her, but she **** me to get serious at times. Something that other A-Rank have not achieved. Once I marry her, Ilene, Trishia, and Amelia, we'll make quite a competent party.
Once again, on the same day, I carried her and laid her down in my sleeping bag in the same way, waiting for her to wake up. About half an hour later, Syvis woke up and saw me preparing something to eat with an expression of disbelief.
"Syvis, if it's not too much trouble, could you light a fire? It's quite cold, and I don't want to make smoke using normal fire." I said casually, trying to keep the situation calm.
Syvis didn't say anything and held her head with her hand.
"I'm sure you're as hungry as I am. Come eat something. And the fire will help a lot to cook something else." I continue sounding casual.
"W-What do you think you're doing?" Syvis said, irritated.
"I know you must be mad at me, but for now, you should bear it. We have to eat and stay warm while we wait," I reply, "I already checked the place, and monsters don't seem to come down here. We will be safe here, which will leave us without fighting for a couple of days. That's nice, but it also will make us feel colder by not moving."
"...You still with that?" Syvis said, looking more relaxed.
"I won't apologize for stopping you. Given the situation, I believe that it is the best option we have." I responded.
Syvis stood up and lit the fire I asked for without saying anything else.
For a moment, it seemed that she was looking for her magic bag to get something out, but she remembered that she didn't have it. She stood still with a lost look for a few seconds after that.
"With what I have, we will be able to survive without any problem until the others arrive, so you don't have to worry," I said, snapping her out of her trance.
After taking a deep breath, Syvis replied, "I see."
Syvis walked to the fire and sat down, then reached out her hand and grabbed the food I was preparing.
What's going on? Has Syvis already surrendered? She is very calm compared to how she was before. I thought we would fight again. Well, better for me.
We were both sitting in front of the fire, eating. Although I tried to make small talk, Syvis only responded with short answers. However, I think I understand what's going on. The effects of the last potion that Syvis drank have already expired for a while. She's in no condition to fight. By losing to me and wasting more time, she lost the opportunity to try to advance to the bottom of the cave. Now it is no longer possible in her condition.
I can tell by her expression how horny she must feel. This time her willpower won't save her.
After sitting in front of the fire for a while, I stood up and arranged the sleeping bag by the fire.
"There is only one sleeping bag, so we will have to share it," I said, staring at her.
I took off my gear and shirt before her while Syvis looked at me. I quickly got into the sleeping bag. "You should get in the bag with me. It feels warmer in here."
Syvis turned red and looked away. Both she and I know what will happen once she gets into the sleeping bag with me. She knows well that I know she will not be able to control herself. Syvis knows that by accepting, she is letting me fuck her.
This time she has ****. It is unavoidable. Even if I don't offer it to her in this subtle way, it will inevitably happen. I could see the mix of emotions as she gazed at me: the guilt, the excitement.
Syvis stood up, started removing her gear in front of me, and subtly said, "Okay."
