Job Interview

It was a warm afternoon so Brie and I started walking, it turned out she worked just down the block. I had always known we lived in a shitty part of the city but the fact there was a strip club so close by was a bit shocking to me. It was just after lunchtime on a Saturday and there were people out and about. I had walked these streets for years but they felt totally different. People, men, and some women react quite differently to Brie and I walking down the street. Men would stare at my chest and when I looked back at them they would be staring at something else. Part of me felt embarrassed like a piece of meat but another part of me was bubbling with joy. I had always lusted after those girls on the street, they had felt like the perfect unobtainable thing I could see but never reach. Now I was one and it felt better than I had expected.

Brie led me down a staircase into her place of employment pushing open the door. The place was empty this early in the afternoon with most of the chairs stacked on top of the tables and the lights all the way up. There were a few women though sitting at the bar drinking, eating, and working off of some laptops counting cash. Brie led me over to them "Hey girls this is my friend Lilly, I promised her free lunch if she came for an interview" Brie said with a smile sitting down at the corner of the bar counter next to two other girls. I nervously sat down next to her and held out my hand. First up was a black hair Asian woman wearing large round glasses that I thought were pretty cute and a bright smile. She had a few piercings and was wearing a black top that left her rightsholder bare. She took my hand and shook it earnestly "I'm Li nice to meet you". Reaching over I shook the other woman's hand who gave a much firmer handshake than Li. She was broad-shouldered and had the body of an athlete with her messy brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. She was wearing a sports bra and a leather coat over it not leaving much room for modesty. "I'm Tia nice to meet you," she said holding my hand for a moment longer than Li had. Moving on to the girl behind the bar I hesitated feeling like I knew her from somewhere before.

"Ally?" I guessed and Ally lit up with a bright smile. She looked like Allan kind of, she was thicker and more buxom but she shared his facial features pale skin and bright red hair. "Do I know you?" She said shaking my hand cocking her head and I just stuttered as Brie started to laugh. After a moment of looking between us, her eyes went wide and she covered her mouth in shock. "Oh my god, Luke?" She said shocked and I hung my head face growing hot. "It's just Lilly today," I said before Ally almost pulled me across the counter in a hug. "Oh my god honey you look so good as a girl," She said as I awkwardly returned her embrace. After a moment she released me and I fell back in my chair. "I can't believe you took xChange, Bire here I understand she is just a slut" Ally said as Brie tried to rise and defend herself only to be overwhelmed with laughter from everyone else. Billy had always been, well he had been sexually active I suppose. It didn't surprise me at all that Brie would share that with him. "You though, you never seemed to be lusting after more or uncomfortable in your own skin like I was. Why did you take it, why are you here" Ally continued asking me as I squirmed in my seat.

After a moment of silence, my traitor stomach answered for me with a rumble so loud it was painful causing me to hunch over covering my belly. "His parents up and disappeared once he hit 18 a couple of weeks back," Brie said answering for me. Tia stood up with a smile and said "Let me go get lunch started, you like burgers?" She asked with a smile and I just mumbled and nodded. Slowly at first, the girls got me talking as they shared things with me. Ally shared little tidbits about her experience with xChange and working at the club which I learned was called just Club X. It turned out it was owned by the girls he worked in it but Li did most of the books and admin while Ally managed inventory and others did similar activities. Tia was their combo cook and security along with a few other girls. They all performed on and off they explained but most of them didn't do it all the time. When Tia came back with the burger I demolished it as they started asking me about what I was good at. Unsurprisingly they didn't have the need of anyone doing computational emergent neural network design. They offered to teach me to perform but I went beat red at the idea of swinging from a pole so instead, they offered to let me work as a waitress. They maintained a strict look but don't touch policy with the wait staff if you wanted to touch they said you went to a performer and paid.

After eating a second burger and half a beer I agreed and by that time the entire afternoon was gone and it was close to opening so Brie led me into the back to get ready.
