Chapter 6 by PiZzA101 PiZzA101

Will Ava be joined by anyone while she waits?

Jackson, her neighbor across the hall.

Ava tried her best not to think about it, but she couldn't help being excited by the thought of getting caught without any pants on. Something about the prospect of barely indecent exposure seemed alluring in an odd sort of way. Naturally, her mind ran wild with scenarios. She imagined a man finding her, and laughing lightly to himself as he noticed her state of dress. "Maybe he would offer me some clothes, or maybe not. Maybe he'd want to see me naked, and trick me into taking a shower, and steal all my clothes. Then..." Ava thought to herself, blushing. Her dirty trail of thoughts stopped in its tracks, as she heard a noise near the doorway.

"Yeah... Yeah... Tomorrow. I swear. Anyways, I better go." A male voice said, likely talking on the phone. Suddenly, the glass door burst open as a stranger burst into the room, a large basket of laundry in his hands. He appeared in his own world for a moment, before taking notice of the upper half of Ava's frame. The brown-haired man paused for a moment, before stating "Oh. Normally nobody does laundry on Fridays."

There was an awkward silence, before the man simply moved on towards the washing machines on the right, bending over as he shoveled clothes into the laundry machine. Ava sighed a sigh of relief, thankful she had merely avoided what she'd been fantasizing about only moments prior. "That was scary! I don't want someone to think I'm fine running around with no pants on! I'm not going to be known as the pantsless girl!" Ava thought to herself. She was already regretting her decision greatly, blushing pink on her cheeks.

"So uhh... You must be the new girl we heard about. What's your name?" The man asked, still focused on his laundry. Ava blinked for a moment, before returning her own reply.

"Ava."

"Ava huh? That's not a name I've heard too often. Say, where are you from anyway? You have a slight accent." The man questioned.

"Well... I'm from a small college out near Augusta. Maybe I have a little bit of a slight twang..." Ava answered sheepishly. "What about you? Where are you from?" Ava asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I grew up near Pittsburgh. Just a few minutes west of downtown. Name's Jackson by the way." Jackson answered, offering a slight wave in Ava's direction.

After a couple of minutes of conversation about their lives before moving, mostly in Ava's direction, Jackson eventually started back towards the glass door, waving his goodbye. "I'll be back in an hour to move my stuff over. Maybe I'll ask you some more questions when I'm done writing this report." Jackson said, already on his way out. Ava returned the gesture, before relaxing in her seat. "Thank god, he didn't see..."
