While Alex was enraptured by Mr. Haldeson's lesson (and by Mr. Haldeson himself), Izzy seemed rather more restless.

"Hey, new girl," she whispered. "You a history buff or something?"

Though Alex was currently inclined to focus on class, her natural instinct for socialization was stronger, and so she whispered back.
