Intermission 2

In the company that made Arkus, things had quieted down as everyone had been busy trying to limit the damage from before. The views were grim, and the programmers were ordered that for all new decisions, not only the choices they made regarding things were to be recorded, but why. That includes why not to change things.

Old retired programmers were found, and even Avatars from dead Players were being reactivated and questioned!

Suddenly there was an emergency call from the room monitoring Garion.

By the time the CEO arrived with his lawyer, the people in the monitoring room were in no fit state to answer questions. Most were in shock, and two were missing. One left a note that simply read “What I was part of, deserves this.”

Soon a call came from security about one of the missing people trying to get into the server room with a fire axe. They managed to knock him out.

The other walked off the top of the building. He was the one who left the note.

Medical people took control of the others. Most had puked their guts out and one had tried to claw his eyes out.

Whatever it was must be serious.

The CEO, lawyer and the gofer from before sat down to see what would cause that result.

When Garion told them about by-passing the ban on child sex to keep perverts coming back, the recording was paused.

The Gofer, who was showing his revulsion, managed to calm himself down and growled out “Find out from the programmers why they did this! I don’t care of you have to do things that the Spanish inquisition would refuse to even contemplate! Contact the authorities to see if there are any serial rapists or pedos out there with distinctive MOs that they want help finding, and see if those bastards are active in Arkus.”
