The Arena!

She said you'd be able to find her at the Arena, right? Well, you know where that is! It's the giant tent set up in the grass of the Courtyard, with a sign that says "The Arena" above the entrance. You've actually wanted to check it out for a while now, but haven't had a reason to yet. So here's your chance to give it a look! Hopefully this is the Arena she was talking about.

{else}There's a pretty decently sized tent sitting on the grass, with two muscular people in school uniforms standing and smiling at the entrance with their arms crossed. Above the entrance hangs a sign marked "The Arena". You wonder what all of this is...?

{endif}Well, only one way to find out! And that's to go in! Through a gap underneath the tarp at the back. The two people standing at the front flap look friendly, but they're still pretty intimidating.... plus, this way, it's like a mini-adventure!

Crawling underneath the tarp -- hopefully you won't get grass stains on your school pants' knees -- you stand up in the interior entirely unnoticed and discreet. And that's because everyone's looking at the same thing you're now looking at! In the centre of the tent, lit by big torches that surround it at a safe distance is what looks like a wrestling ring. And right now, two people are in the middle of a fight!

{elseif ArenaView == 1}"Hey, what'd we tell you?" Eep! You were trying to slip under the tarp at the back again, but this time you got caught midway through, all of you but your kneeling bum on the inside. "No first years allowed without permission!"

You're hoisted by the sticking-out back of your pants, and yanked out from the tent to land squarely on your backside in the grass.

"No hate, man, it's just the rules." The guard reassures. You nod understandingly. When he still stays around, waiting for you to get up and leave, you stick out your tongue at him and hop back up inside the courtyard.

Well, that didn't work...{endif}{endif}

{if Time == 6}{if NoraTalk == False}{if ArenaFightToday == True}"Yo, it's Nora!" Somebody shouts, as the tall redhead in front of you pushes open the tent and walks inside. You shuffle along behind her as everybody's heads turn, and people begin bustling up towards her.

One woman, walking next to the forward-facing Nora and trying to keep in pace, speaks up awkwardly as she tries to get her attention. "Wasn't sure if you'd, er, come back, Nora! Haha.... why'd you wait so long before making an appearance?"

Hang on, if first years aren't allowed in here, then how come all of these second years know who she is? You walk in step behind her, barely noticed by the sudden crowd which follows along with Nora, looking (politely) at each person's face. If they're all acting like this, without even having seen her in here, then the stories about her must be really scary!

Nora reaches her apparent destination, leaning on her shoulder against the side of the stands which face into the ring, and looks bored as the roughly dozen people all harry her with excited questions. Her eyes run across each member of the group, but lower than at eye-level with them. Actually, it's just about what people normally do when they're looking down at- Eep!

You freeze up in a sudden nervousness that you didn't even know you had as her eyes lock onto yours through the crowd. You have a hard time seeing, since you're pretty low down and also at the back of the crowd, but you assume that something happens because the crowd goes silent and starts to spread apart. Eventually the people around you have all stepped to the side, looking at where you awkwardly stand isolated with a strange inquisitive intent. Nora smiles gently and gives you a little wave, and you awkwardly give her a quick nod as the people around you's jaws hit the floor

{else}Ladies and Gentlemen, you're back in the ring! Sorta. Thanks to Nora, you're allowed in the tent to watch stuff, but first years like you still aren't actually allowed to fight. But at least you can use your Free Time to watch other people go at it! You've already seen such incredible fighters like Gold Rush, and...... like Gold Rush, so it'll be awesome to see more. Or maybe even see Gold Rush fight again!

{if NoraTalk == False}Nora's still here, standing in her little spot off to the side of the tent. Maybe you could go talk with her, huh? It's not like just chatting takes long enough to impact on your Free Time!{else}That last fight was really cool to see, but until another fight comes on, it looks like there's not that much to do in here right now. {else}Hatzinbobber looks like the people's Champion now, even if it's just a few of the people and Nora's still the real one. There's not another fight on just yet it looks like, because everybody's working on training new techniques from the fight! Watching the pros really is awesome.
