.....ohmygod Gold Rush is here right now. Say hi!!!

....oh, woah, wait a second. Is that Gold Rush over there, right now? Is she really.... it is! Gold Rush is here!

“Gold Rush!” You rush over, waving with your entire arm high in the air. “Hi! Wow! Are you about to have a fight right now?”

“A-Ah…” She hesitates, turning to face you slightly reddened and hunched forward. Your loud greeting has brought a few more eyes onto her than she’d have liked. “N-no, no fight just now… it’s good to see ya though, Debbie.”

“So what are you doing?” You ask, bouncing up and town on your toes. “Is it cool? I bet it’s super cool!”

Most of the other students in the Arena have gone back to their business now, so Gold Rush straightens out her posture a bit and clears her throat. She even sticks out her chest a little bit, which for her is very brave.

“Ah, yeah, I was jus’ doin’ some training is all. Keeping myself sharp, you know.”

Oh, now that is just too awesome. What luck to find her in the middle of a training session! You lean a bit to the side, to peer past her.

“…Where’s your coach?” You ask. Gold Rush deflates a little bit.

“Well, actually, the coach I had last year kept on…. after… ah….” She gulps. “Well, anyway, they was a third year, so they’ve graduated now. I figure I may as well go coachless, right? I know my stuff, so I can teach myself.”

“You don’t have a coach?!” You start, actually physically leaping back a short distance in shock.

“It- it’s by choice.”

But everybody needs a coach, don’t they? Ah, wait! You snap your fingers.

“Gold Rush!” You say loudly. “What if I became your coach? I don’t know much about fighting, so you’d still get to run most of it yourself like you want, and I can just help out however I can!”

It’s a good idea! If not an entirely selfless one. If you’re Gold Rush’s coach, then you’ll get to learn so much from seeing her train, and any time she fights you’ll get to be right there at ringside with the best view of the action! You lean in close, waiting eagerly for her answer.

Gold Rush blushes, looking around at all the people in the Arena who just had their attention brought back to her from your loud talking.

“W-well, I- I mean, I always… ah…. I, I suppose that would be alright, Debbie….”

You blink your eyes. Did you hear her right? There’s no way… but you did! Ahhh, you could just jump for joy! So you do!!

“B-but not here!” She quickly amends, waving her hands out in front of herself. “Definitely not here. We don’t want to get, well, interrupted….”

She pauses a moment to think. You just keep on jumping, and add some fist-pumping action in there too.

“Let’s, ah… h-how about my dorm room, for this time?” She suggests. You hastily agree. As if you’d object to getting to spend time alone with Gold Rush!

The two of you leave the Arena tent, and she leads you to her dorm (you are still uber excited). And then, right away, your first coaching session with her begins! You can’t believe your luck. Talk about right place right time, right?
