Chapter 12 by hambo hambo

Where does he take her?

Home

Ursula shivers as a chilly wind blows through the street. They've been walking for a good ten minutes now (at Ursula's insistence) and Pardoo's cape just wasn't feeling as soft and warm as it had when it had first been wrapped around her naked body.

"Ow!" The nun yelped as she steps on another pebble.

"Please Sister Ursula, I wish you would reconsider my offer," the paladin pleaded.

"N-no, I... I can't," the nun declares as her cheeks burn red once more.

Pardoo had wanted to carry her to keep her 'sacred footsies' (his words) from getting dirty, but she wasn't having any of that. The idea excited her, but she was shamefully afraid she would be too fat and heavy for him to actually carry for more than a few steps (she wasn't).

"B-besides, we're almost back to Church Street," Ursula says as another gust of wind blasts them both.

The nearly-nude woman yelps in surprise as her makeshift covering flaps in the breeze. A few loose strands start to tatter and blow away along the outer edges of the cloth.

Wow, I'm surprised the church would issue such a flimsy, cheaply made cape.

"I love the sweet smell of the summer," Pardoo wistfully declares with a sigh. "I was especially surprised to learn it smells just as wonderful here in Merridan as it does back home, but then, why shouldn't it smell just as pleasing in such a holy city as this?"

"Yeah, sure," Ursula mumbles as she pulls at her cape, blushing when she hears a slight ripping sound coming from behind her.

Oh dear.

"What was that?" Pardoo asks as he rests his hand on the hilt of his sword.

"N-nothing!" Ursula blurts out a little too quickly and too loudly. "So um, Pardoo, uh, where are you from?" The nervous nun asks as she desperately tries to change the subject.

"Ah, well, I am but a simple farm boy from Arghalas to the west," the paladin says as he goes back to looking straight ahead.

Boy?! But he's like, 6' 4"! They sure are making them big these days...

"I... I've heard of Arghalas," Ursula lies, hoping to avoid a boring discussion about his homeland.

"It is a lovely place, filled with rolling hills, friendly folk, and..." the paladin declares as he starts to really get going.

Ursula sighs and frowns as he goes off on his long, boring conversation. Soon her mind starts to wander...

What does Ursula daydream about?
