Chapter 12 by cphi cphi

What's next?

Hold back, letting the girls get ahead.

As Lucy saunters away, you watch as both your son and brother-in-law follow her with their hungry eyes. When Ana emerges from the clubhouse, smiling and laughing, Jack's eyes get even wider.

Anastasia Kravets, better known as Ana, is Lucy's best friend. A tanned, round-assed, 29 year old model and small-time actress, she and Lucy have been inseparable since high school. Ana's parents are Ukrainian immigrants, and she's the youngest of seven, the only girl.
"Hi, James! Hi, Jared!" She waves and smiles. Ana is friendly, gorgeous and likes to play the part of the innocent, but she's as down as her best friend, and judging from rumors you've heard, is more of a freak than even Lucy. Her taut stomach is exposed beneath a sporty tank, and skintight yoga pants hug her gorgeous hips and legs. "Who's your friend?"
Jared makes another introduction, and when he mentions Jack's new job in the city, apropos of nothing, Ana perks up considerably. "Welcome to La-La land, Jack." She giggles, playing her part as you've seen her do many times before. She is a hunting cat in sheep's clothing.
"Well, we're gonna hit the range, you girls have fun now." You clear your throat and head over to your golf cart, pausing to make sure the two knuckleheads are following you. Ana, and Lucy both, are watching you three leave with knowing smiles.
"Nice girls." Jack muses as you climb into the cart.
"Easy, Jack. They're a couple of vipers."
Jack laughs. Jared climbs into the other cart and laughs. "Good luck, Uncle Jack." His laugh suggests that he's not talking about the golf game.

You hit the range for about ten minutes before teeing off at Hole 1. Your swing is on today, and you all agree to play a scramble to move things along. This ends up meaning, as it turns out, that everyone will be hitting off your drive, as you have the longest of the group. Jared can get close, but a few holes reveal that Jack... is not the greatest golfer in the world.

}Around Hole 7, you pull Jared aside, into the woods on the pretense of looking for a lost ball. You grill him about the previous night's activities, and he begrudgingly admits that he hooked up with a girl at the concert.
"I'm sorry..." his face is downcast, and he's kicking at the dirt.
"You don't have to apologize to me, Jared. You're a grown man, and I'm not your girlfriend." You turn to face him. "But grown men take responsibility for their life, so starting today, you need to make a decision about school, or start looking for a job and an apartment, okay."
"I.... I got accepted to USD and I'm going to go there..." he looks strangely calm. "I was going to tell you and Mom tonight."
"Oh.." you are a little taken aback. Jared knows all about your ill-fated baseball career that would have started at USD, if Jenna hadn't gotten pregnant. "That's great, Jared..." You give him a hug.
"Thanks... but you're right. Greg needs someone to split rent with for the summer anyway, and I think I can get a job at his dad's yard for the summer." He seems resigned.
"It's a good thing, Jared. Independence. Responsibility. Trust me, I didn't want any of it when I was young, but when... when Riley was born, I had to put up or shut up, and it turned out the be the best thing that ever happened.
You rejoin Jack on the fairway, who's looking a little perplexed, and impatient.
"No ball?"
"We'll just take a drop."{endif}

}As you go on, you think about the phone in your pocket, and the texts that you still haven't read. Jenna's out there somewhere today, with her sister. But is she really? Is Karen helping her cover for some liaison with Jason? Would Karen do that? You're tempted to sneak a peak at the text logs, but there's not really a good moment for it. {elseif JxJk2 = 1
}You begin to ply Jack with thoughts about dinner tonight, and drinks after. You hint at how much Jenna wants the four of you to all have a good time together. Jack seems amenable, and when you start to wax eloquent about how beautiful both women are, still, he begins to get a curious look on his face.
"Jenna's always talking about trying new things. I never thought it was possible that she would get more kinky as we got older, but she has."
Jack clears his throat. "Uh, yeah... K-Karen, too..." He's feeling guilty, you think. What a loser. He's lucky you don't just bury your driver in his skull...{elseif JxJk3= 1
}"So I'm sure Jenna is working on Karen right now, Jack. We're going to head to dinner tonight, and then, we'll see how it goes." Jack nods, not really making eye contact.
"Yeah.. sh-should be good..." is he hesitant at the idea of you fucking Karen? After you let him get away with fucking around with Jenna?

}As you reach Hole 8, you see a golf cart stuck with two wheels in a water hazard, hanging crazily off the wood bridge.
"Oh no, what do we have here..." Jack muses as you pull up.
Lucy and Ana are standing back from the cart, hands on hips. Ana's pants are wet on one side, and she's frowning at Lucy.
"-learn to drive, bitch!" she pushes Lucy, who laughs and pushes back.
"Oh, like you've never missed the bridge before." She cuts off as you roll up.
"Having some trouble, ladies?" You laugh.
