Hilda starts to loosen up

The two spend the next twenty minutes mostly in awkward silence.

Hilda has removed the rest of her armor and is currently sitting next to the fire in the padded clothing she wears underneath it. Those clothes were soaked through in the rain, and she would normally just take them off while they dried, but she doesn't feel comfortable sitting in her underwear near a person she just met, so the knight continues to suffer in silence.

Milly, being a merchant, apparently had more sense than her and remembered to pack an extra set of clothes. She had gone to the far side of the cave and changed into them, but only after getting Hilda's word that she would not peek while she was getting dressed.

She returns in a much nicer-looking white robe with red accents, the top of her head still covered with a scarf.

"It's still really coming down out there," she says. "Well, if we're going to be here a while, we might as well make the most of the situation."

She reaches into her bag and polls out a bottle of wine.

"I was going to try to sell this, but I think it would go to better use now," she says as she pops the cork off.

She takes a swig from the bottle and then hands it to Hilda. The knight would normally refuse, but she's feeling particularly parched at the moment.

After the day I've had, I could use a bit of a pick-me-up.

*GLUG*

She's surprised by how good it tastes, and soon the two are passing the bottle back and forth, knocking it back with reckless abandon as they tell each other more about themselves while their inhibitions dwindle.

After a particularly bawdy joke, Hilda reaches for the bottle only to realize its empty. Milly pulls out another, but yanks it away from her with a laugh before she can grab it.

"I know! Why don't we play a game and make things a little more interesting?"

Hilda's feeling pretty tipsy at the moment and immediately agrees.
